Format: Monotype

Victini @ Leftovers
Ability: Victory Star
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk
- Final Gambit //341 Damage
- Dazzling Gleam //Coverage
- Searing Shot //STAB
- Psychic //STAB
This is the Pokemon I based my team off of. Basically, This is to finish off annoying Pokemon Strategies. I know this is a very bad set for Victini, yet it sometimes works. I am thinking of replacing it with Volcarola.

Torkoal @ White Herb //Shell Smash
Ability: Drought
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Shell Smash //x2 Spe, Atk, & SpA
- Earthquake //Coverage
- Flame Wheel //STAB
- Rock Slide //Checks Volcarola, Beedril-Mega, Pelipper, etc.
The basic Shell Smash-White Herb set. Torkoal has a great Attack stat, and access to Shell Smash, so it makes it a great Physical Attacker.

Marowak-Alola @ Sitrus Berry //Belly Drum
Ability: Lightning Rod
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SpA)
- Belly Drum //Belly Drum
- Shadow Bone //STAB
- Thunder Punch //Coverage
- Earthquake //Coverage
A-Marowak has a great Attack stat, and with access to Bely Drum, you can make it a valuable part of your team. The only problem is that since Baton Pass was banned, you cannot give A-Marowak the speed it needs.

Charizard-Mega-X @ Charizardite X
Ability: Tough Claws
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature (+Spe, -SpA)
- Dragon Claw //STAB
- Fire Punch //STAB
- Earthquake //Coverage
- Thunder Punch //Takes care of Mono-Water
My favorite part of the show. With the ability Tough Claws and M-Charizard-Y's great Attack, it can really damage a team! I chose Jolly over Adamant to hit Pokemon first and maximum possible Speed in the case of Paralysis in Water teams.

Volcanion
Ability: Water Absorb
EVs: 248 HP / 252 SpA / 8 SpD
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk
- Heat Wave //STAB
- Steam Eruption //STAB
- Solar Beam //Coverage
- Hidden Power [Dragon] //Less resistances
When a Pokemon (preferably Torkoal or Ninetails) will use a damaging Water move, bring out Volcanion. With more tolerance against Mono-Water teams, it can really help. I chose Heat Wave over Flare Blitz because 1) I would rather invest either in Attack or Special Attack than both, and 2) recoil.

Ninetales @ White Herb //Overheat
Ability: Drought //Powers up Overheat/Solar Beam
Modest Nature (+SpA, -Atk)
IVs: 0 Atk
- Toxic //Hex
- Hex //130 Damage w/ Toxic
- Solar Beam //Coverage
- Overheat //STAB
Drought powers up Overheat and the White Herb removes the stat drop the first time. Drought also lets you use Solar Beam in one turn. Toxic is to cripple the opponent and to double the power of Hex. Not the best Pokemon, and could use some editing.

I have tested this team out and it did fairly good. It may not be the best, but I am certainly getting better. I can post some of the replays if it will help. Thanks for reviewing my team!

Marowak and Ninetales don't do much except stack weaknesses with the team. Replace them with Heatran and Infernape. Torkoal is too slow to be a shell smash sweeper. Give it heat rock, the moves stealth rock, rapid spin, yawn, and flamethrower, and 252 HP/4 Def/252 SpD calm. Victini is better at being a physical attacker, so give it the moves v-create, u-turn, bolt strike, and zen headbutt, and 4 HP/252 Atk/252 Spe jolly. V-create should usually deal more damage than final gambit. Replace Charizard's thunder punch with dragon dance. Volcanion should hold a grassium Z, have heat wave replaced with flamethrower (for accuracy), and have its hidden power type changed to ice.

As sumwun said, use heatran and infernape, though I also think you should get rid of Torkoal - pure types have little use in monotype. Give Victini a scarf - and go for vcreate, boltstrike, zenheadbutt and uturn. It will help revenge kill fast things like mega aerodactyl. Volcanion needs either specs and no solar beam (HP Grass/Ice) or grassium Z, also replace hp dragon - it only has 60 base power and is only supereffective against most dragons. Use sludge wave for grass, or earth power for wider coverage. I reccomend Charizard - Y as sun setup instead, though X is still very good.
Volcarona is a good idea - use quiver dance, fiery dance for the boosts, bug buzz and hidden power ice or ground.

Heatran
Infernape
Charizard-Y
Victini
Volcanion
Volcarona

Torkoal is actually very good in Monotype, despite having one type. It can have both drought and rapid spin, which provide necessary support for fire teams.
I'd doubt Torkoal is actually useful. Rapid Spin might be useful but there are other ways around SR that doesn't have the offensive presence of a  large moth or the momentum of...well, a turtle. SR is also an inherent weakness in Fire (one reason fire isn't very viable) so most Fire teams are HO from what I hear. Drought and Spin is a nice niche since it saves you from having to run CharY and role compression is nice so it's for sure usable, but I'd rather go without.
Says here that Torkoal is used on almost 5% of Monotype teams. The statistic was collected from the high ladder, so I'm pretty sure they knew what they were doing. http://www.smogon.com/stats/2017-03/gen7monotype-1760.txt
Stats aren't necessarily a reliable indicator, even if they're based on high ladder. Stuff like Conkeldurr and Sylveon stayed OU for much of gen 6 because of stats but everyone agreed that they were bad. Torkoal isn't bad at it's role and it's role is a very important/unique niche for sun teams, but I just think that that there are better ways of getting around problems then jumping on the stats hype train and slapping on Torkoal.
Don't use Hidden Power. You can use Giga Drain for coverage against Rock Types

You can give a z crystal so it can do Z celebrate. Or you can give it a White Herb and use V-create if u really want but a z crystal is best.
If you want to, you can put a dragon dance on Charizard.
But I your A-Marowak won't last really long cos its not fast.
You can replace it with Infernape or Volcarona. If Blaziken is allowed, put it in yr team as well.
You can use Heatran and irritate ppl with TormenTran:
Heatran @ Leftovers (TormenTran)
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 244 HP / 44 SpD / 220 Spe
Calm Nature (+SpD, -Atk)
- Torment
- Substitute
- Protect
- Lava Plume
