Greetings. I've been using this team for a while, and have reached a ranking of 1550 with it. I have been at this ranking for a while, and haven't been able to get higher, so I would like some suggestions on how to improve my team. I would say my playstyle is closest to hyper offensive, with a focus on setup, which is why I mostly have attackers.
Anyway, here it is:
Just a Normal Cat (Chien-Pao) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Sword of Ruin
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
IVs: 0 SpA
- Ice Shard
- Swords Dance
- Sacred Sword
- Crunch
This is Chien-Pao. He's here to destroy things with his awesome attack stat and ability. Swords Dance is here to boost his attack even further, Ice Shard is for priority, and since a lot of Uber-Tier Pokémon are Dragon-Type, it will often be super effective. Sacred Sword is coverage, and it beats Coil Zygarde and Stored Power Necrozma-Dusk-Mane. It would also be helpful against Zamazenta-Crowned, but I almost never see that. Crunch is Dark STAB. Sash is to live a hit to he can actually set up, and Tera Ghost is for Fighting immunity. I used to use Sucker Punch and Icicle Crash instead of Ice Shard and Crunch, but it was less reliable, because Sucker Punch doesn't work unless they attack, and Icicle Crash misses occasionally.
Ice Beam Here (Zygarde) @ Leftovers
Ability: Power Construct
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Normal
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Pain Split
- Extreme Speed
- Thousand Arrows
- Coil
This is Zygarde, the team member I like best. He's bulky enough to set up, and hits hard once he does. Coil over Dragon Dance, because it adds to his bulk, and he has Extreme Speed, so no speed boosts needed Thousand Arrows is STAB, and is good coverage against rock and steel, Extreme Speed's resists. Pain Split is for healing, and is used over rest because I don't have another slot for sleep talk. EVs and Nature are for max SpD, because I have no way to boost that with this set. Attack EVs are so I can hit hard. Tera Normal is to get rid of the 4x Ice weakness, and to get STAB on Extreme Speed. I used to run Rest + Chesto Berry instead of Pain Split, but it took my item slot, and only worked the first time.
Joe Cool (Kyurem-White) @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Turboblaze
Tera Type: Fire
EVs: 104 Def / 252 SpA / 152 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Draco Meteor
- Freeze-Dry
- Fusion Flare
- Ice Beam
Scarf Kyurem-White. Draco Meteor is STAB, and he's a Scarfer, so he's going to switch out a lot anyway. Ice Beam is Ice STAB, and Freeze-Dry is for water types. Fusion Flare is for Zacian-Crowned, and other Steels, which resist both STABS. Tera Fire so I can OHKO Zacian-Crowned at full HP, and Speed EVs let me outspeed Zacian-Crowned by 1 point, and Defense EVs are so I can take more hits.
Giratina. Not sus. (Giratina-Origin) @ Griseous Core
Ability: Levitate
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 128 HP / 252 Atk / 128 Def
Adamant Nature
- Outrage
- Poltergeist
- Shadow Sneak
- Defog
Giratina is my hazard remover, because Chien-Pao and Kyurem-White don't like hazards. Defog, for obvious reasons (Hazard remover has to have a way to remove hazards). Poltergeist and Outrage are STAB, boosted by the Griseous Core, so Giratina can have a offensive presence after the hazards are removed. Shadow Sneak is priority and can pick off faster threats once weakened. EVs are for bulk, and the Pokémon that sweep my team more often are physical, which is which I have more Def the SpD. Attack EVs are so I can do decent damage. Tera Steel resists Dragon, Fairy and Ice, and with Levitate my only weaknesses are Fire and Fighting.
The Lion "Rawr" (Necrozma-Dusk-Mane) @ Ultranecrozium Z
Ability: Prism Armor
Tera Type: Steel
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Impish Nature
- Dragon Dance
- Earthquake
- Photon Geyser
- Outrage
Here is Ultra Necrozma, my Z-Move user. He has good defensive typing while in Duck Mane form, so I usually set up, then Ultra Burst. Dragon Dance is for setup, Outrage is for STAB. Photon Geyser because it's STAB and lets me use Light that Burns the Sky. Earthquake is coverage, and OHKOs most things its super effective on, because of Neroforce. Tera is to help me set up, because Steel is a good defensive type, and Prism Armor makes it better. EVs and Nature are for bulk, so I can set up better.
Da Ground (Groudon-Primal) @ Red Orb
Ability: Desolate Land
Shiny: Yes
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpD / 4 Spe
Careful Nature
- Rock Polish
- Swords Dance
- Precipice Blades
- Stone Edge
Double Dance Groudon-Primal is the newest addition to my team, and replaced my Scale Shot Koriadon. Rock Polish and Swords Dance are for double dance setup. Precipice Blades and Stone Edge are for EdgeQuake coverage. EVs and nature are for bulk. Tera is for Stab on Stone Edge and also benefits from water immunity. This guy is the most replaceable, as he pretty much does what Zygarde and Necrozma do, but worse.
So there my team is. I don't have a Mega, and this is Natdex, so if you could suggest one, that would be helpful. Also, if you didn't notice, I have nearly all physical attackers, so burns really hurt my team. Also, my teammates don't have a huge amount of synergy with each other, so advise for that would be very helpful. Thanks for reading, and I look forward to hearing your feedback!
