Salamence (M) @ Lum Berry

Trait: Intimidate
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Dragon Dance
  • Dragon Claw
  • Fire Fang
  • Earthquake

Wondering why I'm not going for the classic MoxieMence? Yes, MoxieMence is very threatening, but I realized that Intimidate gives essential bulk on the physical side, which is vital in surviving neutral attacks and weaker super effective attacks, as well as setting UP Dragon Dances. EVs allow Salamence to switch four times on Stealth Rocks, which is quite useful. Jolly is preferred so I can speed tie with other base 100's, like Mew, Jirachi, and Volcarona. Dragon Dance is my main setup move, giving Salamence a way to boost its already great attack and average speed. Dragon Claw is my main STAB, and hits Pokemon hard (with the exception of steels) after some Dragon Dance boosts. Fire Fang may seem like an odd choice, with it's low base power. Fire Blast may even end up doing more. But it does solid damage to Steels like Ferrothorn and Forretress, and hits Ice types that attempt to KO Mence hard. Earthquake hits other Steels, mainly, and just a good base 100 power move to have. Lum Berry cures any annoying status thrown at me- Spore, Thunder Wave, Will-O-Wisp...you get the deal.

Role: Physical sweeper

Jirachi @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Serene Grace
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)

  • Iron Head
  • Fire Punch
  • Ice Punch
  • U-turn

I love Scarfrachi now. It really surprises a lot of people. When people see Jirachi, they expect some form of a Paraflincher or Wish passer. Well, not this Jirachi! Anyway, Iron Head is my main STAB, and does good damage to stuff like Terrakion, and gets that 60% flinch rate. Fire Punch hits the many steels of OU-like Ferrothorn, Forretress, Scizor, and more. Ice Punch hits Gliscor, Landorus, or any Flying type that annoys me. U-turn allows it to scout, and forms a VoltTurn combo with Rotom-H. The Choice Scarf helps me revenge kill, and gets crucial KO's because of the unexpectedness of the Scarf. Together with Salamence, these two make a "sick synergy", as my good old friend PokemonBlack10 said.

Role: Scout, Revenge killer, Physical sweeper

Tentacruel (F) @ Black Sludge

Trait: Rain Dish
EVs: 248 HP / 240 SDef / 20 Spd
Calm Nature (+SDef, -Atk)

  • Scald
  • Toxic Spikes
  • Rapid Spin
  • Protect

Tentacruel! Nah, not too much of a fan for this thing. (Sike, I am now :3) But it works quite well in this team though, so hey, why not. His appearance on the field clears them annoying Toxic Spikes from affecting the only Pokemon that can get affected by it - Mew. EVs give loads of Special bulk. Scald is Tentacruel's feeble STAB, coming from a low 196 SAtk. But it can burn things, and will help bolster my team's defense. Toxic Spikes allows me to Poison some Pokemon on the other side of the field as they switch in, providing me with some free residual damage, leading to easier KOs. Rapid Spin is a godsend for this Pokemon-allows me to clear those really annoying Spikes and Stealth Rock. Acid Spray is STAB that helps lower my opponent's SDef by 2 stages, allowing for Scald to do far more damage than it would've. EDIT: Using Protect to stall for Recovery, especially in the Rain.

Role: Special wall, Hazard setters, Rapid Spinner

Ferrothorn (M) @ Leftovers

Trait: Iron Barbs
EVs: 252 HP / 88 Def / 168 SDef
Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)

  • Thunder Wave
  • Stealth Rock
  • Leech Seed
  • Power Whip

Ferrothorn is one of my favorite Pokemon in OU. Sporting typing that leaves it with a mere 2 weaknesses (which are covered by Tentacruel) and brings even more resistances to the table, it has a vital role in my team. Spikes and Stealth Rock sets up hazards on the other side of my opponent's teams, helping me land KO's a little easier. Leech Seed heals Ferrothorn and teammates that lack reliable recovery-like Salamence, Jirachi, and Rotom-H. Power Whip is great 120 base power STAB that hits waters like Gastrodon hard. EDIT: Running THUNDER WAVE to help out Mew and Salamence.

Role: Mixed wall, Hazard setter

Rotom-H @ Choice Scarf

Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Volt Switch
  • Hidden Power [Grass]
  • Overheat
  • Trick

Rotom-H had never appealed to me in OU, but now, I can see it's full power. Rotom-W had always been my favorite, by soon I realized that Hydro Pump missed way to often for me. So I went to the next best Rotom form via Smogon tiers, and Rotom-H was the one. Volt Switch is STAB, and allows me to scout. Combined with Jirachi's U-turn, it makes the VoltTurn combination. Hidden Power Grass allows me to get a decent chunk of damage out of the greatest counters to Rotom-H- Gastrodon. Overheat is STAB, and roasts Steels. Trick ruins walls, giving them unnecessary speed. I run Timid to outspeed certain things, like +1 Adamant Dragonite.

Role: Special sweeper, Stallbreaker, Scout

Mew @ Life Orb

Trait: Synchronize
EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)

  • Nasty Plot
  • Psyshock
  • Shadow Ball
  • Aura Sphere

Mew is my favorite Pokemon. Hopefully you knew that by now. Mew is just a special sweeper that I (or should I say, PokemonBlack10 suggested) me to add in, since I have all my weaknesses covered in the first 5 Pokemon. Nasty Plot gives a +2 SAtk boost, and helps in sweeping. Psyshock nails the stupid blobs that are rampaging in OU. Shadow Ball hits Other Psychics and Ghosts in OU. Aura Sphere nails Tyranitar after a Nasty Plot, and hits steels that resist my first 2 moves.

Role: Special sweeper

I like it :D
hmmm... if you already have earthquake to take care of most of the Steels, considering that even a super effective Fire Fang is just a wee bit more powerful than a STAB dragon claw, I'd say you don't really need it. I like Outrage on my dragons, but that's just what I prefer. Your Scarfed jirachi seems to have good coverage, and tentacruel looks good too. Ferrothorn seems good for the most part with good entry hazards, and if you wanted to maybe give him some steel type coverage you could switch out either Spikes/Srock for Gyroball, and give him a relaxed nature (+Def, -Speed). Your rotom looks good (I don't use rotom much so I can't make any suggestions) and your mew looks like a good sweeper.
