PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

I've been lookin through Pokemon to see how annoying I can make my teams, and I thought, "hey, why can't other people as well!!". So, this is where you can!!

What is a troll Pokemon I hear you ask? Well, it's a Pokemon that is so annoying that it makes your opponents tear their hair out and cry in a corner. It's so impossible to get passed you feel like never ever playing Pokemon again. And it's so funny to use you might die from laughter after seeing the amount of ragequits they cause.

So, basically, I want to see everyone's favorite annoying Pokemon and annoying sets to go with it!

Btw it can be any tier, but the sets have to actually work and cannot just be "in theory".

Please follow standard moveset thread guidelines when answering this question.

I'm just saying that if you want to win and annoy opponents at the same time, you'll probably get better movesets by Googling stall sample team.
I like using a Smeargle that knows Telekinesis and Smack Down with Recover and Thunder Wave :P
Hacked Shedinja with Sturdy Ability holding Lum Berry :)
You know what's trollolololy against trollolololy Pokemon? Taunt!
We did engage in a little bit of tomfoolery

Future Most Hated Fighting Type:

Flincher Mienshao

(Use on a slower Pokemon)
Mienshao @ King's Rock
Ability: Reckless
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Fake Out
- Fling
- Acrobatics
- High Jump Kick

You start off with Fake Out (obviously), then you follow up with Fling. Fling has a 100% chance to flinch if you're holding a King's Rock. So now your opponent has taken 70 BP of damage and hasn't gotten to move yet; so they are probably thinking, "Finally I get to attack" and that would be true.....unless you don't KO them with double power Acrobatics or Reckless boosted STAB High Jump Kick (depends on type matchup).

I know this isn't a good moveset and other Mienshao sets severely outclass it, but it will get some bad words out of your opponents' mouths.

I suggest you use these three together, because they work off each other so well

AronUGonnaForfeit? (Aron) @ Shell Bell
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 1
EVs: 69 HP / 69 Atk / 69 Def / 69 SpA / 69 SpD / 69 Spe
Naive Nature
IVs: 0 HP / 0 Def / 0 SpD
- Endeavor
- Protect
- Stealth Rock
- Toxic / Body Slam

The classic F.E.A.R Aron. Endeavor + Shell Bell allows it to recover to full HP. Protect is for scouting, and Stealth Rock is for setting up spikes (unless they're already set). Toxic is for status and is practically filler, while Body Slam is for a 30% chance for paralysis. 0 IVs in Aron's defensive stats are to ensure Sturdy activates as we all know Level 1 Pokemon have extraordinary bulk, and the EV spread is because humor. Don't worry, the EV spread only increases Aron's speed by 1.

Ctrl+W, Ctrl+F4 (Togedemaru) @ Shell Bell
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 1
EVs: 69 HP / 69 Atk / 69 Def / 69 SpA / 69 SpD / 69 Spe
Naive Nature
IVs: 0 HP / 0 Def / 0 SpD
- Nuzzle
- Spiky Shield
- Endeavor
- Fake Out

This set works similar towards Arons, and can be used as backup if it faints. Endeavor + Shell Bell allows Togedemaru to recover to full health. Spiky Shield allows for scouting, and can knock out anything that you've used Endeavor on and makes contact. Nuzzle guarantees paralysis, allowing Togedemaru to somewhat assist its team members. Fake Out is if you safely swap in Togedemaru after Aron used Endeavor, allowing it to finish off the foes Pokemon unharmed, as well as to help render any Focus Sashes on the opponents team useless. Once again, the EV spread is in good humor, and the IV spread insures Sturdy activates.

GigaIrritation (Gigalith) @ Smooth Rock
Ability: Sand Stream
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Explosion
- Stealth Rock
- Rock Slide
- Sandstorm

Gigalith's Sand Stream sets up Sandstorm, which allows Pokemon who have already been weakened down by Aron and Togedemaru to get knocked out. Explosion allows you to safely switch in Aron and Togedemaru, and to deal a bit of additional damage. Rock Slide and Sandstorm are mostly filler, but they provide a STAB move as well as being able to set back up Sandstorm without switch Gigalith in and out of battle. Stealth Rock for additional damage. You may also have other Sand Stream users, but as this was designed for lower tier, I haven't included the likes of Hippowdon and Tyranitar.

This trio can be easily countered by Dynamaxed mons and Rock/Ground/Steel types, so make sure you have several other team members who can deal with them.

I an not guaranteeing that anything will work. They are extremely gimmicky (normal definition)

Mewicidal

Mew@Toxic Orb
Synchronize
Endeavor, Vacuum wave, Facade, Protect
252Spe/252HP/4Atk

A random set I came up with... In theory it should work fine, as this is meant to be sent in at the beginning of a battle, and there aren't many UU-pokemon that can OHKO it.
Start off with Protect, then, after toxic orb has been activated, start spamming facade.
Once it is almost dead, endeavor, then vacuum wave.
However, this set will fall apart when facing fighting, or ghost types...

Squished between a Dragon and a hard place
Garchomp@Rocky Helmet
Rough Skin
Stealth Rock, Dragon Tail, Rest, Snore/Dragon Claw(as a cover)
252HP/252Atk/4/Spe

F.E.A.R Rattata

It should be level 1 and here is the set up

First no natures or evs

the item should be focus sash

here is the recommended move set

•Endeavor

•Quick attack

okay so first wait for your opponent to strike(with your focus sash you will survive the hit)You will have 1/??? hp left then you will use endeavor to reduce your opponent down to 1hp as well then use quick attack so you will go first to deliver the finishing blow if you can build whole teams of these F.E.A.R Rattatas then you can sweep entire teams!

Smeargle @ Focus Sash
Ability: Own Tempo
Level: 1
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
IVs: 0 Spd
- Spore
- Endeavor
- Trick Room
- Dragon Rage

enter image description here

Magnemite @ Oran Berry
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 1
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Def / 252 SDef
- Recycle
- Toxic
- Protect
- Protect

by
I don't see any usefulness on Smeargle whatsoever, and that Magnemite set have already been posted.
Sorry about the magnemite, didn't see that. The smeargle is that first you spore the pokemon, then trick room so smeargle goes first. You then endeavor and dragon rage to finish it off.
Extreme Speed would be better, since they can hit you with priority. Most of the time, they will have such low health that Smeragle's poor attack stat doesn't matter.

Death by rabbit!

So trollicious!

Azumarill@Sitrus berry
Adamant
Huge power
252hp/252atk/4def
- Belly drum
- Aqua jet
- Play Rough

Turn 1

Use belly drum. Healed by sitrus berry.

Turn 2

Use aqua jet. Opponent faints.

Repeat turn 2 until you win or opponent kills them self.

Attack is maximized, then priority attack move, with more attack boost from huge power = troll sweep.
(Play rough is a backup)

Water Absorb/Storm Drain and this thing is basically useless
Then switch out to your FEAR Arron.
And risk taking a Scald or something to the face and losing Aron as well in a 2HKO? I think not.

It's better to add Play Rough and Waterfall/Superpower on the moveset as well.
I was joking about Aron.

Gengar
Gengar Animated Sprite

This moveset makes many ragequit, if you know how to use it right, & on the right opponent.
Gengar @ Lum Berry
Trait: Levitate
EVs: 252 Spe / 252 HP / 4 SpA /
Timid Nature

  • Hypnosis
  • Nightmare
  • Disable
  • Shadow Ball
by
edited by
1. Lum Berry? Gengar is a glass cannon (basically something that hits hard but is really frail) Since it's meant to be an attacker, you might as well give it a Gengarite. 2. Darkrai can do all this better. Dark Void has better accuracy, Bad Dreams drains more health when combined with Nightmare.

Here's a Stalling Set for fun in UU.

Umbreon @ Leftovers

Ability: Inner Focus

EVs: 4 HP/252 DEF/252 SP.DEF

Nature: Impish

  • Toxic
  • Moonlight
  • Confuse Ray/Swagger
  • Foul Play

The reason why the Third move is between Confuse Ray and Swagger is because of Swagger Clause, however, if you are playing without that Clause, go ahead, use Swagger, it'll only make Foul Play do more! Also, Umbreon is basically a wall made of pure Titanium painted black, so yea, have fun!

Here's another interesting Physical Defender which for SOME odd reason, works, of course, it's Tanky Arcanine!

enter image description here

Arcanine @ Leftovers

Ability: Intimidate

EVs: 252HP/4 ATK/252 DEF

Nature: Impish

  • Will'O'Wisp
  • Morning Sun
  • ExtremeSpeed
  • Roar

For SOME random reason, this set is incredibly bulky Physically-wise when your opponent's Pokes are burnt, this has ExtremeSpeed to stop Taunt-Locking it and Roar for usage to get rid of Set-Up and to increase Hazards Damage.

by
tahts bc burn halves the attack of a pkmn :x
I didn't even know this question is still being answered. Kek.

I really don't know what to say except for this: Here are my two movesets designed to troll and annoy with as little flaw as possible!

Stall Umbreon

You've probably heard of this one, but here's a different take on it...
Umbreon @ Leftovers
Ability: Inner Focus
Nature: Modest
EVs: 252 Defense, 200 Sp. Defense, 56 Speed
Moves:
-Mean Look
-Yawn
-Confuse Ray
-Dream Eater
This is pretty straightforward if you know what these moves do, so I'll leave it at that.

The original Ferrothorn

Anyone who knows about stall Pokemon will recognize the name, but maybe not my take on it...
Ferrothorn @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Iron Barbs
Nature: Adamant
EVs: 252 Defense, 252 Sp. Defense, 4 HP
Moves:
-Gyro Ball
-Payback
-Explosion
-Iron Defense
The EVs are to take less damage. Gyro Ball and Payback make use of Ferrothorn's abysmal speed, and Explosion's for when he's seen better days. Iron Defense is to annoy Physical Attackers as much as possible. Works best with a support with Roar to get rid of Spec. Attackers.

Hope this helps!

by
Oh I forgot Whimsicott...
Whimsicott @ Leftovers
Ability: Prankster
EVs: 252 Defense, 252 Sp. Atk, 4 HP
Nature: Jolly
Moves:
-Moonblast
-Leech Seed
-Substitute
-Encore

You get the idea... SubSeed because you can, Encore when they're dumb and use a Dragon move or something and Moonblast to not be Taunt bait.

Ok, so I was trolling around on Anything Goes with a team of 6 Shuckles, because why not. I realized how great one Shuckle by itself was, and decided to continue to use Shuckle, but with other Pokemon on a team with the Shuckle. My favorite of the 6 sets was this:

Shuckle @ Leftovers
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Protect
- Toxic
- Shell Smash
- Rest

As you can see, Shuckle will eat anything like it was buttered toast in the morning. Just in case you need proof, here are some damage calculations:

252+ Atk Choice Band Mega Rayquaza Dragon Ascent vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Shuckle: 160-189 (65.8 - 77.7%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252+ Atk Primal Groudon Precipice Blades vs. 248 HP / 252+ Def Shuckle: 106-126 (43.6 - 51.8%) -- 10.5% chance to 2HKO

The only thing it can't take is a Primal Kyogre's Origin Pulse (Unless you set up Shell Smashes)
So the strategy here is to set up Shell Smashes and Rest whenever you feel is necessary. Protect can be helpful due to Leftovers recovery, and Toxic is there to kill everything except for Poison/Steel types. With a team that can support a Shuckle (Which doesn't take much), you can basically stall your opponent to death. It's so enjoyable.

You need a troll? Use blissey. This things base 255 Hp and good sp def make unkillable specially and with all that hp you can even handle physical hits pretty well. I've seen all my friends at 1 point or another rage quit to this thing especially when used in conjunction with poison heal gliscor or skarmory. Here's the set:
Blissey@leftovers(the ultimate troll item)
Ability-natural cure
Nature-bold
EVs-252 hp/252 def/4 sp def
-toxic
-protect
-soft boiled
-flamethrower/counter(flamethrower for gengar and steel types but counter for physical attackers)

by
Blissey is sort of outclassed by Chansey though, which the majority of good players agree is better.
Chansey beats it stat wise but leftovers recovery is SOO helpful i think blissey is better.
Although it is a matter of opinion
Leftovers isn't that helpful considering that Blissey and Chansey both run Healing moves anyway
It actually depends on the rest of the team tbh, but usually chansey is better
I've seen leftovers + protect keep blissey alive just long enough to win the battle
Yes but that's a niche situation. There are times where Blissey is better, and times where Chansey is better. What I'm saying is there are more times where Chansey is better than Blissey.
I wouldn't say that chansey has more situations where it's better, but i do agree that they both do very well in different situations.
They both can get Softboiled. Chansey gets Eviolite. Therefore, Chansey>Blissey. Unless you need that extra Base 5 HP.
Then, you use Blissey.

HOW HAS NO ONE POSTED THIS YET?!

(All official smogon singles metagames except Little Cup, as well as monotype and 1v1)

TROLLPASS (Nosepass) @ Berry Juice
Nosepass
Ability: Sturdy
Level: 1
Shiny: Yes
- Stealth Rock/Protect
- Toxic
- Magic Coat
- Pain Split

Turn 1: Use Stealth Rock. Sturdy will keep you alive and Berry Juice will bring you to full health.

Turn 2: If the opponent didn't attack you or you don't think they will attack you, use toxic. Otherwise, use Pain Split.

Until the opponent is at low health or faints: Keep using Pain Split.

When the opponent faints: Keep using pain split on the next Pokemon until they are at low health. Use toxic if given the opportunity.

When the opponent is at low health: Let Nosepass faint. Send out a Pokemon with a priority move, preferably also with moxie. If you think the opponent will switch out, use a stat-boosting move. Some Pokemon that fill this role are Mega Pinsir, Mega Scizor, and Bisharp.

Make sure to use Magic Coat against opposing status users.

Use Protect instead of Stealth Rock in 1v1. on turn 3 and onwards alternate between Pain Split and Protect.

Of course, this set isn't perfect. A lot of status users are immune to their own moves, and moves with a chance to inflict status will bypass Magic Coat altogether. You could also use a Level 2 Probopass to have an immunity to toxic.

Gliscor @ Toxic Orb
Ability: Poison Heal
Nature: Jolly
EVs: 252 Speed, 248 HP, 8 Attack
Moves:

-Substitute
-Toxic
-Knock Off
-Protect

I have seen this set a few times, so I made one myself. Substitute is to get a free Toxic, Toxic is to help with those high-defense pokes, Knock Off is trolly and makes you not Taunt Bait, Protect is generally annoying.

Shuckle @ Rocky Helmet
Ability: Contrary
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Sassy Nature
- Power Split
- Toxic
- Rest
- Shell Smash
Hit em with a power split to lower their attack and special attack, then a toxic, then use shell smash (dont use this if you don't have contrary) until defense is maxed out, then use rest when your HP gets low or if they use any status moves.

Rattata (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Guts
Level: 1
Shiny: Yes
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpA
Adamant Nature
- Endeavor
- Quick Attack
- Flame Wheel
- Sucker Punch

use as long as they attack (besides super fang) they will bring you to your focus sash and as long as you used Endeavor they will be at 1 hp then use quick attack. Sucker Punch and Flame Wheel are just for extra moves.

by
does it have to be shiny?
