Good slowbro strategy?

Question

I know this sounds stupid but what is a good one. I play Pokemon Heartgold and I have a slowpoke lvl 31. My strategy is :

Slowbro

item: leftover

moves:
Slack off- for healing
Calm mind- raising his sp. attack and sp. defense.
Psychic- Good move and STAB
Surf-Good move and STAB

I see absolutely nothing wrong with it. Slack off/Calm Mind/ Psychic/ Surf was an excellent strategy back in Gen IV
