What are all the ways soft reset effects Pokemon and how do I soft reset Pokemon xy 3DS XL?

When you soft reset your game you are going to your previous save point without turning of your 3DS. To soft reset your game hold in L+R+START+SELECT and hold them at the same time, Your system will restart back to Pokemon Y main menu before you start your game.
