Will you be able to transfer Pokemon from Gen 5 even after Nintendo terminates Wi-Fi for the DS?

Since the wii you isn't getting enough sales Nintendo is going to cancel wifi connection for gen 5 and down. Can you still transfer Pokemon to x and y after the date Nintendo will cancel wifi connection?

Yes, you can still transfer Pokemon.

Since the online service for Pokemon bank doesn't directly have to do with Gen5 online and only takes the Pokemon from the boxes, it will still work.

Source: Logic. And also, why would Nintendo basically cancel a high-selling product that has been out for a month.
