Can activating the Pomeg glitch in Platinum corrupt or delete anything?

I want to have some fun by sending out ???s against other people. Is it safe?

i read a lot on bulbapedia and found that there was no glitches in which cause data corruption, but it may destroy a Pokemon, I am not sure if it does so don't sweat it.

UPDATE: I have passed over the pomeg glitch again and found no way of corrupted game save data and found no permanent Pokemon corruption.

ps, im not to sure about platinum but i at least know that in soulsilver the game saves the previous save file as well as the current one, so i don't think you would have to worry if your save game file became corrupted.
