We have Drednaw and Chewtle now. I know this make 0 sense, but I feel like Lapras and Bulbasaur - Venusaur could be considered turtles.

One: Slowbro is a crab and turtles have shells that cover their torso so what about mega Slowbro? The shellder that is the shell mega evolves basically trying to eat slowbro
Two: Hisuian sliggoo and goodra are based off snails not turtles and doesn’t have any other turtle like qualities.

I think a few of the possible turtles need better explanations beyond "shell + reptile = turtle" and "people said it's a turtle". The former criteria could apply to something like Slowbro and Hisuian Sliggoo, and the latter could for borderline anything. I also think Metagross being a turtle only got spread around as a meme because people thought it looked nothing like one.
