I think my Wonder-Traded Magikarp might be hacked?

Question

I got a lvl. 1 Magikarp through Wonder Trade... but it's in an ultra ball. That's impossible, right? Because you can't catch lvl. 1 Pokemon, and all bred Pokemon come in ordinary Pokeballs, right?

Where was it originally "met"? In Platinum, it's possible to catch a level 1 wild Magikarp.

It is unlikely for it to be hacked. It is entirely possible for Pokemon to be bred and come in the Poke ball of the parent. Whether it's a Beast ball, Ultra, Dusk, etc. Besides, who would hack a level 1 Magikarp without it being shiny? :D
