If you have a good moveset for Oricorio (any form - Baile Style, Pom-Pom Style, Pa'u Style, Sensu Style), post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for any of its pre-evolutions can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some explanation, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Oricorio @ Choice Specs
Ability: Dancer
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Hurricane
- Revelation Dance
- Baton Pass
- Air Slash

Sensu is probably your best bet with this set, as Flying/Ghost attains excellent coverage. Baton Pass is preferred over U-Turn to avoid contact damage/status, because Oricorio has pretty bad attack. Air Slash can be used when more reliability is needed than Hurricane provides. Hidden Power could be an option in the last slot, but Oricorio doesn't hit much at x4 that resists both it's STABS, rendering it mostly useless.

... I was told Pom-Pom was best.
There are tons of other electric types that blow Pom-Pom away in terms of stats and movepool.
No, I once asked "What is the most recommended form for Oricorio?", and I was told Pom-Pom form was. Oh well, I recently just replaced my Pom-Pom Oricorio with Solgaleo.
I know, I was just commenting on the viability of Pom-Pom.
Baton pass isn't useful if you are locked into an attack with choice specs.
Yes it is. (filler)
If you’re going to use a Hidden Power (as you mentioned), go with Fighing. Tyranitar, Bisharp, and Heliolisk all resist its STABs, and Fighting is super effective against all of them.
how does baton pass work with specs

Recommended for doubles;

Oricorio-Baile @ Assault Vest / Leftovers
Ability: Dancer
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Calm Nature
- Revelation Dance
- Hurricane
- Steel Wing
- Toxic / Calm Mind / U-Turn

  • Revelation Dance (Duh!, I think this thing is gauranteed to get STAB from this move.)
  • Hurricane (Confusion, STAB)
  • Steel Wing (Coverage, really good for dealing with Rock-Types.)
  • Toxic / Calm Mind / U-Turn (U-Turn in case of the assault vest, calm mind and toxic if leftovers to make it annoying)

Ahh, yesss. Another waifu Pokemon. This is a special attacker, the assault vest makes it take less damage from sp. attacks, but you can just use calm mind for the leftovers.

Why Steel Wing with a Calm Nature? Wouldn't Hasty or Naive nature be better?
That's why the 4 Atk EV's are there, plus the swords dance from  a Leavanny really is good. (from the dancer ability it copies it)
Yes, RevDance guarantees STAB.

Oricorio-Pom-Pom @ Focus Sash
Ability: Dancer
EVs: 4 HP or Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Revelation Dance
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power [Fighting]
- Calm Mind

I found that Oricorio works well with a Sash Volcarona, by itself its fast enough and has high sp atk, But with Volcarona you gain more stats from quiver dance. In addition, Volcaronas Fiery Dance is an excellent move that dancer can copy(And Give you stab if you go with Baile Style). Hidden Power covers Both of Pom-Poms Weaknesses making it a good choice just in case. This is my first response so please tell me if you like it.

Pa'u Form: Gen 9 NU Offensive Quiver Dance

Oricorio-Pa'u @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Revelation Dance
- Hurricane
- Roost

So umm, since the other 3 Oricorio forms have been banned from NU, Oricorio-Pa'u is the only Oricorio left that can be used in NU. This an offensive Quiver Dance set that helps it to not get screwed over by Trick users as easily. Quiver Dance makes Oricorio-Pa'u a potent cleaner upon getting boosts to its Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed stats. Revelation Dance is used for the Psychic STAB that is used for most Poison-types in the tier. Hurricane is a powerful Flying STAB that can let Oricorio-Pa'u hit Dark-types such as Bombirdier and Hisuian Qwilfish for neutral damage. Roost lets Oricorio-Pa'u recover HP so it can stay in longer. Tera Fairy allows Oricorio-Pa'u to turn the tables on Dark-types since it can not only resist Dark moves with Tera Fairy, but it also gets a Revelation Dance that is a Fairy-type move thanks to Tera. The EV spread can be an offensive one like the one in the moveset or it can be a more defensive EV spread to help setup vs Fighting-types.

Oricorio (?/Flying) - Special Sweeper
Ability: Dancer
Timid Nature (+Spe, -Atk)
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spe
Item: Leftovers
-Teeter Dance / Substitute
-Calm Mind
-Air Slash
-Revelation Dance

Use Teeter Dance / Substitute to set up a Calm Mind or two. After that you can start sweeping.
Oricorio works quite well in doubles (with Volcarona + Quiver Dance for example).

by
Why would this be considered useful if you can't even tell the form?
Any form will do. People can decide which one they want to use.
Is it really that hard to figure out...
Will it make you happy if I edit it?
No. Because there is really no such thing as "Best form of Oricorio in competitive".
Ghost is actually better since it blocks Rapid Spin.
That is what I thought when I asked the question.
All Oricorio forms share the same stats and movepool, so form is not a huge deal since the different forms will likely be playing the same role.

VGC MOVESET
Oricorio @ Sitrus Berry/ Focus Sash
Ability: Dancer
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Timid/Modest Nature
-Revelation dance
-Air Slash
-Roost
-Protect/ Feather Dance

I'd Recommend using this Pokemon with anyone that Quiver Dance (Ribombee & Masquerain) and are preferably faster because they can go for a quiver dance first turn, Dancer activates and both Pokemon get the Q-Dance boost and can also use an attack. I'd also use the Pom-Pom variant because it is the only one not weak to electric types, I would recommend the Baile style because he has no weakness to ice but he is weak to common attacks like Rock Slide.

OU Doubles Sweeper paired with Volcarona

Oricorio-Sensu @ Focus Sash
Ability: Dancer
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Revelation Dance
- Calm Mind
- Air Slash
- Hidden Power [Fighting]

Volcarona @ Leftovers/Charti Berry
Ability: Flame Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Fiery Dance
- Bug Buzz
- Protect

On the first turn, Quiver Dance and Calm Mind. Oricorio copies Quiver Dance, giving it +2 in SpA and SpD with an added +1 of Spe. Spam Fiery Dance which Oricorio also copies, which give them both a chance for a boost in SpA. Keep in mind this set can get shutdown by some Choice Scarf sets. Hidden Power Fighting hits 3 of Sensu's weaknesses while also hitting Steel. Protect on Volcarona is for Fake Out. You can change the Oricorio to the Baile (Fire) form for STAB on Fiery Dance, but I prefer to get some coverage with Ghost type Revelation Dance. Charti Berry protects Volcarona from those pesky rock moves. This set works well because they never expect it (mostly because Oricorio is kinda below average and nobody cares about it). Once set up, there is few counters to prevent this gimmick from sweeping teams with 3 powerful attacks in one turn!

Triple Dance? Sensu Style
Gen 7 PU

Oricorio-Sensu @ Weakness Policy
Ability: Dancer
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Revelation Dance
- Air Slash / Hurricane
- Calm Mind
- Agility

You can use this under dual screens. Revelation Dance is ghost type STAB. Air Slash is flying type STAB. You can use Hurricane for more power, but is less accurate. Calm Mind boosts your special attack and special defense. Agility boosts your speed.

Gen 7 PU

Oricorio-Sensu @ Leftovers
Ability: Dancer
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SpA
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Revelation Dance
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Roost

Substitute + Calm Mind set. Revelation Dance is STAB. Substitute is to help you set up. Calm Mind boosts your special attack and special defense. Roost is for recovery. It would be best to take out normal and dark types before sending Oricorio out.

Form: Pom-Pom Style

Oricorio-Pom-Pom @ Life Orb
Ability: Dancer
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
- Revelation Dance
- Hurricane / Air Slash
- Icy Wind / Baton Pass
- Quiver Dance

It gets Quiver Dance in Gen 9, which helps a bit more than Calm Mind. Hurricane is preferred because even after a boost or two it doesn't hit that hard, but Air Slash is for if you're for Accuracy over power. Pom-Pom Style + Icy Wind give BoltBeam Coverage, though depending on Format you could Baton Pass it away. Tera Type is completely up to choice, though be warned it'll change the Type of Revelation Dance too.

Gen 9 UU

Oricorio-Pom-Pom @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 236 Def / 20 Spe
Bold Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Revelation Dance
- Hurricane
- Roost

Oricorio gets Quiver Dance now, so this thing will actually have some sort of potential in a higher tier other than PU and ZU. Oricorio can also use Heavy-Duty Boots now, which is a good thing for it. This is a physically defensive Quiver Dance set. Quiver Dance is used to boost Oricorio's Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed, making it a potent wincon in games. Revelation Dance is used as Electric STAB if you didn't Tera yet. However, if you do Tera, it will become a Ground-Type move that will become your STAB move. Speaking of Tera, Oricorio's Revelation Dance and Tera Type without a doubt has the funniest interaction. Using Tera to change your type also changes the type of Revelation Dance, meaning Oricorio not only can change both its offensive and defensive capabilities, it also has basically a stronger version of Tera Blast. Hurricane is used for Flying STAB if you haven't used Tera. Roost provides Oricorio with some HP recovery, allowing it to stay in longer. The Tera Type is Ground to allow Oricorio to beat Iron Thorns and specially defensive Tinkaton that doesn't have Encore.

Sensu Form: Gen 9 NU Defog

Oricorio-Sensu @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Fighting
EVs: 64 HP / 252 Def / 192 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Defog
- Revelation Dance
- Hurricane / U-turn
- Roost

A Defog set for Oricorio-Sensu. Defog allows Oricorio-Sensu to clear hazards from your side of the field. Defog is also nice for getting rid of the opposing team's screens should you face Screens HO. Revelation Dance is used for a Ghost STAB. Hurricane is for a Flying STAB that hits Passimian and Medicham super effectively. Hurricane is also nice vs opposing Oricorio so you can attack Oricorio without worrying about Dancer activating. U-turn can be used instead to switch out and generate momentum for the team. Roost is used to give Oricorio-Sensu a source of HP recovery.

Heavy-Duty-Boots is used to avoid getting chipped by Stealth Rock. 192 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature allows Oricorio-Sensu to outspeed base 85 Pokemon such as Toxicroak, Mabosstiff, and Qwilfish. 252 Defense EVs are used to help Oricorio take physical moves damage. The leftover EVs are used in HP. The Tera Type is Fighting to allow Oricorio-Sensu to throw Dark-type Pokemon off guard.

For those wondering why I have 252 EVs in Defense over HP, it's because investing in HP in this case is a little worse than using 252 EVs. Here are some calcs to prove it:

252 Atk Passimian Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 64 HP / 252 Def Oricorio-Sensu: 198-234 (64.4 - 76.2%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Passimian Knock Off (97.5 BP) vs. 252 HP / 64 Def Oricorio-Sensu: 246-290 (69.4 - 81.9%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Pure Power Medicham Zen Headbutt vs. 64 HP / 252 Def Oricorio-Sensu: 207-243 (67.4 - 79.1%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

252 Atk Life Orb Pure Power Medicham Zen Headbutt vs. 252 HP / 64 Def Oricorio-Sensu: 255-302 (72 - 85.3%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

The EV spread with 252 Defense EVs take less damage than the set with 252 HP EVs. You can check for yourself with the damage calculator.

Pom Pom Form: Gen 9 NU Physically Defensive Defog

Oricorio-Pom-Pom @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Ground
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Def / 8 SpD
Bold Nature
- Revelation Dance
- Defog
- Roost
- U-turn

A Physically Defensive Defog set for Oricorio-Pom-Pom. Revelation Dance is used for an Electric STAB. Defog is used to get rid of hazards on your side. Roost is used to let Oricorio-Pom-Pom recover HP. U-turn allows you to switch out and bring in a teammate. Heavy-Duty Boots is used to prevent Oricorio from getting chipped by Stealth Rock. The Tera Type is Ground that allows you to deal super effective damage to Pokemon such as Magneton, Copperajah, and Perrserker since Revelation Dance becomes the same type as the type you Tera into. However, with Electric/Flying being a good typing. You'll rarely, if ever, need to use Tera on this set.

Gen 9 NU Quiver Dance

Oricorio @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 152 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Taunt
- Revelation Dance
- Roost

A bulky Quiver Dance set that Oricorio can use in NU. Quiver Dance boosting Oricorio's Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed stats allow it to become a scary wincon should its checks become weakened or eliminated. Taunt allows Oricorio to shut down defensive Pokemon that try to cripple it via status, which essentially gives Oricorio more opportunities to setup Quiver Dance. Revelation Dance is used for the STAB move on this set since the move type also changes with Tera, which is neat. Roost provides Oricorio with HP recovery so it can stay in longer. Tera Fairy is used for the Ability to prevent it from being forced out by Dragon Tail.

252 HP EVs are used for bulk. 152 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature allow Oricorio to outspeed non Choice Scarf Medicham. The rest of the EVs are used in Defense to give Oricorio some physical bulk.

Pa'u Form: Gen 9 NU Taunt + Quiver Dance

Oricorio-Pa'u @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Fairy / Dark / Ground
EVs: 252 HP / 104 Def / 152 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Taunt
- Quiver Dance
- Air Slash
- Roost

A Taunt + Quiver Dance set Oricorio-Pa'u can use in Gen 9 NU. Taunt lets Oricorio-Pa'u stop defensive Pokemon from using status moves and is useful to stop Haze users such as Cryogonal and Articuno from getting rid of Oricorio-Pau's Quiver Dance boosts. Taunt allows Oricorio-Pa'u to have more opportunities to use Quiver Dance to boosts its Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed stats in order to make it a potent wincon. Air Slash is used for the STAB move since unlike the other Oricorio forms; Psychic Revelation Dance isn't as spammable in NU. Air Slash is also since it has better accuracy than Hurricane. Roost lets Oriocorio-Pa'u recover HP so it can stay in longer.

252 HP EVs are used for bulk. 152 Speed EVs with a Timid Nature lets Oricorio-Pa'u hit a jump point and outspeed non-Choice Scarf Medicham. The remaining EVs are used in the defense stat to get some physical bulk.

Taunt Oricorio-Pa'u has a few Tera Types it can use. Fairy lets it resist Dark moves and grants it an immunity to Dragon Tail, which makes this bird hard to stop. Tera Fairy can let Oricorio-Pa'u setup in front of Appletun. Tera Dark lets Oricorio-Pa'u resist Ghost- and Dark-type moves while granting it an immunity to Prankster to prevent Sableye from using Encoring you. Tera Ground lets Oricorio-Pa'u have an immunity to Electric moves.

by
aren't you supposed to play revelation dance because tera changes its type?
Well, yes, but on Taunt Oricorio-Pa'u, it has to use a Flying STAB.
"Air Slash is used for the STAB move since unlike the other Oricorio forms; Psychic Revelation Dance isn't as spammable in NU."
Dark-types like Bombirdier, Sableye, and Hisuian Qwilfish exist in NU, so having Revelation Dance for the only attacking move wouldn't be good, especially if you used Tera on something else.

Pom-Pom Form: Gen 9 NU Bulky Quiver Dance

Oricorio-Pom-Pom @ Grassy Seed
Ability: Dancer
Tera Type: Ground / Steel / Fighting / Fairy / Flying
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Quiver Dance
- Taunt / Revelation Dance
- Air Slash
- Roost

A Bulky Quiver Dance set Oricorio-Pom-Pom can use in Gen 9 NU. This set must be used on Grassy Terrain teams, as this set uses Grassy Seed for the item. Have Orocorio-Pom-Pom come in safely when Grassy Terrain is active so it can comsume its Grassy Seed to get a Defense boost. Quiver Dance lets Oricorio boost its Special Attack, Special Defense, and Speed stats to make it harder to take out and slowly boost its offensive power. Taunt is used to stop opposing Pokemon from using status moves such as Toxic, Protect, Wish, Stealth Rock, etc, giving more opportunities to setup Quiver Dance. Air Slash is used for the Flying STAB due to it having better accuracy than Hurricane, which is important on this bulky Quiver Dance set. Roost allows Oricorio to have a reliable recovery move to have longevity. Revelation Dance can be used over Taunt depending on the Tera Type you want to use since this set has like 5+ Tera Types it can use. Max HP EVs are used to provide bulk, and Max Speed EVs lets it outspeed slower Pokemon

Like I said, this set has like 5+ Teras it can use. Same for other NU Pokemon. Gone are the days when Pokemon in NU would use like 2-3 Tera Types. If you want to use Revelation Dance over Taunt, Tera Types such as Ground and Fighting work due to it giving useful coverage alongside Air Slash. If you use Taunt, then Oricorio-Pom-Pom can use Tera Types such as Steel, Fairy, Flying, even something like Water (and Grass?) for defensive Tera Types. Steel gives Oricorio-Pom-Pom a Toxic immunity and is useful against Copperajah lacking Earthquake. Tera Fairy lets Oricorio setup on Umbreon since it has Taunt. Flying is used to keep Oricorio's Ground immunity while not being Earthquake weak whenever it uses Roost.

The reason why Mono Air Slash (meaning Air Slash is the only attacking move) is preferred on Bulky Quiver Dance sets that have Taunt is because most Pokemon in NU who resist Air Slash can't really do much back to Oricorio-Pom-Pom since it has Quiver Dance, Taunt, and Roost. Diancie is probably like the only problematic one. Plus, Air Slash doesn't have any Pokemon that are immune to it, unlike Revelation Dance even with Tera Types such as Ground and Fighting.
