I have been resetting shiny Poipole for an insanely long and embarrassing time, and I have no idea what I have been doing wrong, can someone please tell me what I need to do? ;-; P.S. I'll tell you how many times I have soft reset if I get an answer.

It takes on average 4096 soft resets if you don't have the shiny charm and 1365 soft resets if you do. Also, Poipole might be shiny locked.
Most sources say it is not shiny locked. Just keep trying...
Poipole is definitely not shiny locked; I've seen posts on Instagram and such that show a legitimate shiny Poipole being obtained. But like sumwun said, it takes on average 4096 soft resets without the shiny charm, so it could probably take you a while.
sumwun... you have a 1/4096 chance of getting a shiny. Not you need to fight 4096 Pokemon to get a shiny.
I said "it takes ON AVERAGE 4096 soft resets", not always 4096 soft resets.

Just keep trying, you are not doing anything wrong, you just have to hope that your next soft reset is the one. Poipole is not shiny locked and my friend spent three days soft resetting to get it with a total of 791 soft resets. I for one did not care to try to get a shiny one since I like its regular sprite. Hope you get one and I wish you the favorable probability.
