Is gentle a good nature for a Slaking?

He has good defence already but I wanted some more sp.defence
So should I use him or find another one?

If it actually is competitive play you want, Gentle is a bad nature for Slaking. Offensive Pokémon with base 100 Speed should almost always run Jolly/Timid.

This question was tagged "in-game-team", right? Very few NPCs can hit hard, so having natures that lower defense stats won't hurt you at all.
