Such as picking up a Riolu at the start of the game, are there any other Pokémon that can critically make game play easier?

by
Lillipup as an HM slave/strong attacker, and Dewott served me well
Good early Pokemon that come to mind are Azurill (if you didn't pick Oshawott), Lillipup, Magnemite, Scraggy, Drilbur, Darumaka, some of the better Eeveelutions, Sandile, Sigilyph, and if you were playing White 2, the stationary Braviary in Route 4 (Black 2 gets Mandibuzz instead, which is still great).
What about Palkia?
You can't obtain Palkia in B2W2, you can only get it through an event, or from trading through another game.
You have played it, right? So you know about the Pokémon dream radar?
My current team is Lucario, the mouse thing, the deer Pokémon, the fire pig, the bird thing and a Hidden ability slowpoke.
The what? What mouse? What bird? I presume you're using Tepig and Deerling, but what are the other two members?
Lucario level 32.
Pignite level 30
Cincinio or something( normal type mouse level 20)
Unfezant. Level 26
Slowpoke. Level 20
Deerling level 30. I’m just challenging Clay now.

Should I take my Palkia from the Dream radar or wait till the E4?
Ahh right, I forgot about Dream Radar. If you can, you could probably trivialize the game assuming it comes at a decent level because, well, it's Palkia.

If I were to recommend something to drop it'd probably be Cinccino because you evolved it before Level 25 and getting Tail Slap on it is unnecessarily annoying. You could also potentially drop Deerling (assuming it wasn't the Serene Grace one) or Slowpoke.
To my knowledge, when you have 5-6 badges a Pokemon caught from the Dream Radar is Level 30.
Thanks for the advice. I swapped Cinccinon for Zoura. I also am not going to take Palkia until I beat gym 8, so I can get it at a ok level. If there’s anything good from the dream radar I don’t know about yet. Like any recommended Pokémon.
I think you should just get it after beating Clay since it'll be right on level to match the rest of your team. I wouldn't wait any longer, and if you choose to wait after Drayden or Marlon it'll be Level 40 and sorely underleveled. (Drayden's are around the mid 40s, Marlon's Pokemon are around the early 50s)
I'm pretty sure Cinccino is significantly better than Sawsbuck. Their stats are mostly the same, but Cinccino has fast leveling rate, and skill link tail slap is kind of overpowered. You should probably go to the move reminder anyway for bullet seed or rock blast, so just get tail slap then. Double slap should work fine until then. It also learns dig for covering rock and steel. I think you should drop Deerling because having 3 normal Pokemon is probably not a good idea, and you can replace that with a Zorua or just play with an empty slot.
Also I think Heracross is slightly better than Lucario, but at this point in the game it's probably easier to keep Lucario.
Good advice. I replaced Deerling with Tornadus.
The combination of Cinccino and Tornadus should be stronger and share less weaknesses than Unfezant and Tornadus.
Lmfao my team still can’t beat clay.
Maybe you should have used a Heracross...
Are there any ways I could get a type advantage over clay? Like a Tm any of my Pokémon can learn. Also, how to get TM shadow ball, Dark pulse and ———.
Give Cinccino an exp. share and teach it dig. That should help.

(Edited with more research done - thank you for the suggestions/corrections!)

The stationary Braivary (White 2) and/or Mandibuzz (Black 2) are a fantastic option for powerful Pokemon available quite early in the game (Route 4). Lillipup is incredibly useful as a HM slave, and a few others with great potential attainable very early on, with the exception of Riolu, are:

  • Eevee
  • Zorua (Zoroark is a great choice to help you swiftly complete the game)
  • Cinccino (Dig, a move able to be taught to this, can be very useful)
  • Growlithe (if you are looking for something else, Darumaka outclasses this and is also attainable very early)
  • Jolteon (Eevee) / Elekid (Electabuzz)
  • Joltik (I would recommend the electric options above over this, however)

If you are looking for other suggestions for early Pokèmon without any very significant use:
- Tympole
- Scraggy
- Magnemite

Hope this helps!

Jolteon has a terrible movepool and thunderbolt is found at victory road. Galvantula can use thunder instead of thunderbolt because of compound eyes. elekid is also a version exclusive.
Good enough answer. I think I’ll use thundorus as my electric type.
Who suggested thundorous?
Nobody, because it’s not usually a valid option. I just chose it because I had one, otherwise I would have gone with Galvantula.
Oh ok. Good to know you made a decision.

Once you can get it, cobalion. Great false swiper and overall fighter. And I suggest maybe azzumail for hm slaves. And mareep. False swipe is in reversal mountin. Theres a scientist that will give it to you once you see or catch all the Pokemon (not including heatran) in reversal mountin. Once you have them all, talk to the scientist and you got it.

This would get best answer... if I knew where to get False swipe.
See all the pokemon in and around reversal mountin. Then talk to the scientist inside. You dont have to catch them, just enter a battle against them and your good.
There you go, read the updated answer
Good enough.
Happy time i got best answer. (Shinjix enter the ultra beasts remix starts playing) happy time.
