Do you need to beat the Elite Four to shiny hunt in Let's Go Eevee?

Im curious do you need a certain amount of gym badges, or do you need to beat the elite 4 in Pokemon lets go eevee ?

You can get a shiny at any point in the game (other than your starter), so no, you don’t need to beat the E4 to shiny hunt. Building up a catch combo chain also works regardless of where you are in the game, if you don’t want to hunt with full odds.
