Rillaboom @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Grassy Glide
- Superpower
- Knock Off

Overwhelming amounts of power. Swords Dance to double attack. Grassy Glide for STAB Grassy Terrain boosted priority move. Superpower for steel coverage (like Ferrothorn), and Knock Off to remove items. Life Orb gives even more power, and most of the damage from Life Orb will be recovered by Grassy Terrain.

Dang, you're on a roll with these movesets (lol)!  Nice job!
thanks!
personally, i'd recommend high horsepower. Still a fun set though.
True, that makes sense.
SpillThePolteageist, I'm confused as to why you would run high horsepower over earthquake when it learns both moves. High Horsepower gives no secondary effect, and only has 95 base power instead of earthquake's 100. Maybe in doubles with a grounded ally, High Horsepower would do more since moves that hit everything do less when hitting multiple targets, but outside of that I see no reason to run it over earthquake.
earthquake is weakened in grassy terrain
instead of superpower, i would go for drain punch instead since when rillaboom sets up swords dance, drain punch can not only deal alot of damage, but it can heal you alot, combine that with rillaboom's already base 125 attack and it can almost never die
Good set, grassy glide is so good

National Dex OU

Rillaboom @ Darkinium Z
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Grassy Glide
- Darkest Lariat
- High Horsepower

Swords Dance boosts your attack. Grassy Glide is STAB that has priority in Grassy Terrain. Darkest Lariat is for coverage. High Horsepower deals with steel and fire types. The Darkinium Z is so that Rillaboom can OHKO Zapdos with a +2 Black Hole Eclispe.

Rillaboom @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def
Impish Nature
- Wood Hammer/ Grassy Glide
- Drain Punch/ Knock Off
- Protect
- Leech Seed
Explanation: This set is for Gen 8 OU on Showdown. Wood Hammer is STAB and the power is boosted in Grassy Terrain. Drain Punch is to recover HP, and can heal off the Wood Hammer recoil. Leech Seed is to lower the opponent's HP and steal the grounded opponent's Grassy Terrain's 6% HP restore. Protect is to avoid taking damage and get HP recovery from Leech Seed, Grassy Terrain, and Leftovers.
Move Alternatives: Grassy Glide: if you want +1 priority during Grassy Terrain
Knock Off: useful on Pokemon such as Tangrowth that can wall Rillaboom.

Rillaboom @ Chesto Berry
Ability: Overgrow / Grassy Surge
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
- Knock Off
- Drum Beating
- Rest
- Snore

This set is for those who want to try something out of the ordinary to throw the opponent off their game.

1: Knock Off- good, decent power moved that negates opponent's item
2: Drum Beating- rillaboom's special move that increases its speed.
3: Rest- heal up and use the chesto berry.
4: Snore- decent power move to use when you use rest to heal a second time. may cause flinching so you can frustrate your opponent more.

All comments greatly appreciated. I don't play the game on a competitive level that most of you do. But I do enjoy tinkering with Pokemon to see what I can make.

Why Snore? Go for Earthquake.

Rillaboom @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide (70 Base Power Grass Type Move)
- Superpower
- U-turn
- Knock Off

Grassy Glide is basically the strongest priority move in the game paired with STAB + Grassy Terrain. Superpower nails Ferrothorn. U-turn is for momentum. Knock Off can remove items from Pokemon that would basically wall Rillaboom, like Corviknight, Tangrowth (?), etc.

Role: Physical Tank

Rillaboom @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 SpD
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Knock Off
- U-Turn
- Drain Punch

Grassy Glide For STAB, that gets Priority in Grassy Terrain, which is placed when Rillaboom Comes out. Knock Off gets rid of the opponent's item which could be really helpful. U-Turn is for switching out. Drain Punch is to gain lost HP

If it's a physical tank, why adamant?

Rillaboom @ Choice Band/Life Orb/Grassy Seed
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide/Drum Beating
- U-turn
- Drain Punch
- Knock Off/High Horsepower
Grassy Glide has priority and deals slightly more damage in terrain. Drum Beating helps Rillabooom's Speed even better, U-Turn switches out Rillaboom when in a bad matchup. Drain Punch heals up Rillaboom while countering it's Ice type weakness. High Horsepower covers Fire and Poison types while not being affected by Grassy Terrain unlike Earthquake. Knock Off knocks off the oppoment's item, which can help a lot, also deals double the damage when Knocking Off an item.
I've hoped I've helped!

Drum Beating should used only for stall sets. Grassy Glide is better.

Rillaboom @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Grassy Glide
- U-turn
-High horsepower
Wood hammer is a nuke as if you know you that rillaboom is gonna get knocked out you use wood hammer which can 2hko most pokes.
Grassy Glide is just for priority spam and to chip away hp as on a switch it gets 2 times to attack with this move...
U-turn is for getting out of situations you would not want to be in like Ferrothorn comes in or Corviknight.
And high horsepower is for fire types and heatran as high horsepower always ohko's.

Rillaboom @ Grassy Seed / Weakness Policy
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 252 Atk / 4 Def or SpD
Adamant Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Acrobatics
- High Horsepower
- Knock Off

Grassy Glide is STAB and priority during Grassy Terrain. Acrobatics is coverage which gets a boost in power when your item is gone. High Horsepower is coverage. Knock Off is coverage and item removal. Weakness policy is better if you Dynamax first, so you can take at least 1 super effective hit.

Gen 8 Doubles OU

Rillaboom @ Assault Vest
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 248 HP / 120 Atk / 36 Def / 100 SpD / 4 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Fake Out
- Grassy Glide
- High Horsepower / Superpower
- U-turn

Pretty similar to the sample set on Smogon, but with a few changes.

Fake Out flinches an opponent, preventing them from moving and allowing Rillaboom's ally to attack or set up something like Tailwind more safely. Grassy Glide is pretty much mandatory on Rillaboom. It's STAB that, in the Grassy terrain provided by Grassy Surge, has priority. High Horsepower and Superpower are options for hitting steel types super effectively, but I only recommend using High Horsepower if you have a Tailwind setter on your team. High Horsepower OHKOs fast Heatran (Tailwind support is needed to outspeed it), while Superpower hits Kartana hard. U-Turn is for pivoting.

The EVs are mostly the same as those on Smogon's sample set, but I did make one change; I moved 4 of the attack EVs into speed, meaning this Rillaboom can always Fake Out opposing 0 speed Rillaboom before they can use their own Fake Out. The rest of the EVs allow Rillaboom to survive either a +1 U-Turn from Genesect or a +1 Sludge Bomb from Nihilego (thanks to the Assault Vest).

Rillaboom @ Life Orb
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVS: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 Def
Adamant Nature
- Swords Dance
- Grassy Glide
- High Horsepower
- U-Turn

Swords Dance is setup, Grassy Glide is STAB of choice simply for its priority under Grassy Terrain. High Horsepower is mainly for coverage. U-Turn is to better get out of tough matchups.

Gen 8 SS NU

Thwackey @ Terrain Extender
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Grassy Glide
- Low Kick
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Thwackey has some use in SS NU as a Grassy Terrain setter, as that playstyle at the time of writing this has some use.

Grassy Glide is your Grass STAB that not only has more power in Grassy Terrain, but also has priority in Grassy Terrain. Low Kick provides coverage that lets Thwackey chip Steel-types like Copperajah and Stakataka, being able to 2HKO them. Knock Off is useful for Pokemon like Decidueye, Dhelmise, and Xatu to deal super effective damage to them, as well as providing utility by removing items from opposing Pokemon. U-turn allows you to do chip damage to Pokemon as well as being able to bring in a teammate. Terrain Extender allows you to have more turns to utilize Grassy Terrain.

Gen 9 National Dex AG

Rillaboom @ Grassy Seed
Ability: Grassy Surge
Tera Type: Flying
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Swords Dance
- Acrobatics
- Grassy Glide
- Drain Punch

Rillaboom with acrobatics will or could sweep a whole 6 Pokémon team ( more better and stronger with terra type : flying ) , with grassy seed will increase defense and resist a physical move like fire punch , brave bird , poison jab or ice punch too , swords dance to increase attack power by 2 , drain punch to drain your opponent’s Pokémon hp if you have almost full hp ( like 80 percent hp ) half hp (50 percent hp ) or low hp ( like 40 , 30 , 20 , 10 percent hp ) and grassy glide to strike your opponents with priority ( the Pokémon always goes first before the opponent ) , (if you have terra flying type activated , grassy glide cannot be a priority move )

Why NDAG? It feels like Rillaboom is really outclassed by the very strong mons available like Zac-C, MRay, NDM etc.
What is Zac-C MRay and NDM ? NDAG because rillaboom terra flying type with acrobatics plus swords dance can sweep legendaries Pokémon ( for me it’s very op )
Zacian-Crowned, Mega Rayquaza, Necrozma-Dusk Mane. Your situation is almost certainly against much lower-skilled opponents, because a Rillaboom with any strategy would get obliterated in competitive AG.

Gen 9 NU Grassy Terrain Setter

Thwackey @ Eviolite
Ability: Grassy Surge
Tera Type: Rock
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Wood Hammer
- Tera Blast
- Knock Off
- U-turn

Thwackey has a niche in NU as a Grassy Terrain setter, which can enable Grassy Terrain HO teams. Thwackey is also one of the few Pokemon in the tier with access to Knock Off, which is neat. Thwackey (un)fortunately lost Grassy Glide, so it now uses Wood Hammer as the Grass STAB. Tera Blast with Tera Rock allows Thwackey to have a move that hits Flying- and Fire-types such as Pyroar, Oricorio, Bombirdier, and Scyther super effectively. Knock Off allows Thwackey to remove items from opposing Pokemon, allowing it to cripple Pokemon who like having their item. U-turn allows Thwackey to bring in a teammate. Eviolite is used to give Thwackey some bulk. This set uses Eviolite over Terrain Extender because 1.) there is only one Unburden Pokemon in the tier, that Pokemon being Drifblim, and 2.) the only other Pokemon who would use Grassy Seed on Grassy Terrain HO teams are Veluza and Farigiraf.
