Should I have my Cinderace learn Electro Ball?

Question

In every generation{not kalos},The fire type starter will learn thunder punch,which is an electric type move that is supereffective against water types. Sceptile and Chesnaught are grass types that can learn Thunder punch,which is useful against flying types.So I thought:Would Electro ball be useful for my Jolly Cinderace?

Jolly + Electro Ball isn’t a good idea, especially coming from Cinderace’s low Special Attack stat.

I feel like a strong Physical move would work much better. If you can breed this, give it High Jump Kick and it should OHKO a lot (especially if you have Limbero. If you don’t, Pyro Ball does a lot of damage to most Pokémon).

I would just stick with strong neutral physical moves, and stay away from coverage that won’t hit as hard as a neutral hit. I also feel like Cinderace isn’t fast enough to use Electro Ball, even if it had good Special Attack (maybe Agility or a Choice Scarf would work, but still).

So yup. I’d breed it to get a HJK Scorbunny and just hit hard with HJK + Pyro Ball instead of using weak (with the stats, at least. Electro Ball is good on some Pokémon, definitely) coverage options that may hit a weakness of yours super effectively.

Definently not.
Even though it may cover water, cinderace has a bad special attack AND you have jolly that reduces the special attack. You are probably better off just attacking them with strong physical moves then using electro ball, and even then electro ball won’t do that good against other fast opponents.

Despite covering Water weakness, Electro ball is absolute garbage on Cinderace, especially since it's jolly, which lowers SpA. It has base 116 Attack and 65 Sp. Attack, so it is definitely not worth it. Plus, you can get rid of water weakness with libero. Also, just a suggestion, maybe include your Cinderace's moveset in the description for more context

life orb electroball cinderace has a small chance to OHKO defensive slowbro. could also be used for killing pelliper. Using electroball is kinda a waste tho cuz cinderace has many better moves like pyro ball, HJK, gunk shot, zenheadbutt, you turn, sucker punch.
