PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

I've looked at the stats of these Pokemon and they both seem alright, although Camerupt will have to work on it's speed. I've been deciding for a long time now and can't seem to pick on Pokemon showdown.

It might be helpful to note some other details such as the rest of the team, the generation, etc.
Do you already know the other 5 Pokemon you want? If yes, what are they?
Please give us more information about the other mons and what format.
The asker already said Monotype.
But what are the other mons he/she is using?
I already know it's monotype.

Well, let’s check them out.
If you call Rapidash’s Speed “respectable”, you’re wasting your life or just wrong. Rapidash is WAAAAAAYYYY faster than Camerupt, coming in at a base 105, its best stat. Its Attack is amazing, too.
Bulk: a little frail
Hard-hitting?: yes
Fast?: YES

Rapidash @ Leftovers
Ability: Flash Fire
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spd / 4 SpD
Jolly Nature
-Flare Blitz
-Wild Charge
-Morning Sun
-Swords Dance
(Thank you Swastik!)

Camerupt’s Speed goes WAY down with a pitiful base 40. The thing hits like a tank, a huuuge bonus. But, that 4x weakness to Water makes it a little risky with Monotype. But, again, the Mega...

Bulk: good
Hard-hitting?: YES
Fast?: Dear god, no

Camerupt @ Cameruptite
Ability: Solid Rock ——> Sheer Force
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 SpD / 4 HP
Brave Nature
-Lava Plume
-Solar Beam
-Sunny Day

My choice? Mega Camerupt with actually incredible bulk!

The EV set is not too good. Never run a mixed set unless you know what you are doing. Also, Rapidash defenses are 70  Def and 80 Sp.Def and HP 65. While Camerupt both Def and Sp.Def are 100 and HP 70. Rapidash should get Swords Dance and Wild Charge for water-types.
Ok, will do
