Marshadow is a pretty good Pokemon in Anything Goes. It has great STAB moves, high Speed, decent Attack, and Technician.

Marshadow @ Life Orb
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature

  • Poltergeist
  • Close Combat
  • Shadow Sneak
  • Rock Tomb / Bulk Up

However, it faces competition as a Ghost type from Calyrex-Shadow, the best Pokemon in Anything Goes. Also notice how I said decent Attack. 125 is good and all especially when Shadow Sneak and Rock Tomb are boosted by Technician, however Calyrex-Shadow has much more offensive power unlike Marshadow, its movepool isn't exactly as limited, with things like Psyshock, Draining Kiss, Leaf Storm, Trick, Aromatherapy, Substitute, Nasty Plot, and a more reliable Ghost STAB in Astral Barrage. Caly can run multiple sets i.e. Choice Specs, Choice Scarf, Focus Sash (Defog support from Ho-oh and/or Yveltal is mandatory for Sash sets), Sub+Seed, Nasty Plot 3 attacks... Marshadow is pretty much stuck using its Life Orb set which makes it very predictable. However, Marshadow's access to Shadow Sneak and Calyrex-S's frailty and 4x Ghost weakness means Marshadow is great at removing the most dangerous Pokemon in the game. Of course, Yveltal and Ditto can do that too.

Marshadow is probably the best Pokemon at stopping sweepers and cleaning up weakened opponents. Nothing in AG can resist both of Marshadow's STAB moves. I recommend this moveset.

Marshadow @ Focus Sash
Technician Ability
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly nature
- Spectral Thief
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
- Rock Tomb

Where is the ability
Marshadow can only have Technician, so why even bother?

Marshadow is an excellent mon. Let's look at a moveset. (My last one was based on a playthrough because I assumed you were in a playthrough)

Marshadow @ Life Orb/Focus Sash
Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 Def / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spectral Thief
- Close Combat
- Shadow Sneak
- Rock Tomb/Poison Jab

One thing I would add is that you could use poison jab if you wanted instead of rock tomb

I think focus sash is better than life orb because focus sash Marshadow can revenge-kill a Xerneas that already used geomancy.
I would say however, even though focus sash is a good idea that necrozma-d actually runs sun steel strike. 100+ Atk Necrozma-Dusk-Mane Sunsteel Strike vs. 0 HP / 4 Def Xerneas: 204-242 (101.4 - 120.3%) -- guaranteed OHKO

I don’t know what AG you’re talking about but I’ll answer for all 3
Gen 8 AG
If you need a Ghost Type, just use Calyrex-Shadow. If you need a physical sweeper that can use fighting moves, go with Zacian-C. If you want to deal with stat boosters, go with Ditto. It’s a great Pokémon, but you can do better.
NatDex AG
See above.
Gen 7 AG
An awesome physical sweeper here. It can steal stats with strong STAB spectral thieves, hit with Priority Technician boosted STAB shadow sneaks, hit with very powerful STAB Close Combats, and annoy with Technician Boosted Rock Tombs. It can also take advantage of Hidden Power and Pursuit getting technician boosts.
As for the set, go with Smogon’s:
Marshadow @ Life Orb

Marshadow

Ability: Technician
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Spectral Thief
- Shadow Sneak
- Close Combat
- Rock Tomb
If you really want to use it in gen 8, you can swap Spectral Thief for Poltergeist, but I wouldn’t recommend it.

In gen 8 AG, Marshadow is better than both Zacian and Calyrex at checking opposing Calyrex. Also it's better than Zacian at checking Necrozma.
Sure, Shadow can check it, but Yveltal can counter it. Also, Ditto checks it too.
It is in the viability ratings tho. It's in A
Holy crap I’m blind
