Why does Pokemon X repeatedly crash in Snowbelle City Gym?

Question

So, I ran into a weird crash in Pokemon x. It happens in the snowbelle city gym, where I'm trying to fight the first trainer, Ace trainer Imelda. She has a sneasel that is level 54 and a Cloyster that is level 55, both does not have an item. (searched this up on bulbapedia). However, the game causes a fatal crash after the name is displayed. What is odd that, the first time the game crashed, she only had one Pokemon. I tried switching up my team, checked anything I possibly didn't do, but the crash never changes. How does this happen, and how can I fix this? I have 22 hours on this game, and I'm not planning to quit.

Are you playing an emulator, or have you modified/hacked your game in any way?

No I did not mod or hack it in any way, I play on a standard 3ds, and it always show the 3ds crash message, not the game crash message

Are you playing on cartridge or the digital copy? Because sometimes the digital copy can crash for whatever reason

Have you dropped/damaged your 3ds or cartridge in any way

Which model of 3DS are you using? I’ve noticed that the 3D Pokémon games have a tendency to handle poorly on the Early 3DS models, which could be why it crashes. It may be more of a system problem than a cartridge problem.

Otherwise, as said above, check if your 3DS or Cartridge is damaged in any way, and videoing the game crashing may help as well. :P

I use the first 3ds model released in Europe, and I think Cloyster might be corrupted in the game files since I didn't encounter one yet.

Then, maybe try encountering a Cloyster in the wild?

according to these [x x] forum threads here, there may be a problem with the cartridge seeing as you seem to not be having any problems with any other games.
so you may have to get a new one, unless you can find some way to fix it.
