Why does my Eevee keep evolving into Espeon at night (Pokemon X)?

Question

On Pokemon X and this has happened twice. I had one Eevee evolve in Espeon when it was 9:10pm irl and just now it's not 12:15am, and Eevee evolved into Espeon again instead of Umbreon.

The clock on the 3DS does reflect irl time. What am I doing wrong?

Have you changed the time on your 3DS clock within the last 24 hours of evolving Eevee? Are you sure the time isn't 12:15 PM instead of 12:15 AM
