Does Protective Pads stop Urshifu ignoring Protect?

I was just wondering, with their definition being "stopping effects of contact moves", does that mean Unseen Fist / the pad holder's contact ability in general would be stopped? Don't have any friends to test it

No, I dont think that's how it works. Protective Pads stops effects caused by using contact moves on the opponent, I don't think it'd affect the user's contact abilities.

Protective Pads does not prevent the holder with Unseen Fist from doing damage with contact moves if the target is protected from them.
