How old is Ash in XY?

Question

In the XY series Ash looks like he is 14-16 years old, but in the Sun and Moon series he looks like 10 again and in the journey series he is 10. And in the XY series Ash and Serena kiss and isn’t 10 years kind of young for a first kiss? So that’s why I think he is older than 10. Some people say that the series are released in the wrong order if you think about his age but others say that he is 10 forever. This makes me really confused and I need some help to understand

Different styles for different shows. Technically, I believe he is still canonically 10, but you can headcanon his age to be whatever you want at this point.
