Help with cold storage battle not working? [closed]

I’m playing Pokemon black and the battles inside the cold storage with team plasma won’t initiate after speaking with them. i’ve tried turning the game on and off, but the battles just don’t start after hearing their dialogue. I’m using some hacked mons so i’m wondering if that ruined something.

As you probably know already, this isn't a documented behaviour anywhere. What are you using to play the game? Real cart on real console, Twilight Menu, on your phone, on an emulator, something else?

Yeah playing with a real copy on a real 3ds. i have no idea what’s going on.

Where/when did you get the game? If you didn't get it new in 2011 then there's the possibility it's a repro.

Have you talked to ALL the plasma grunts? Probably a dumb question but I thought my game was broken but the issue was I was a IDIOT and didn’t talk to the last one.

Yeah it my copy from when I was a kid. i’ve played through the game a thousand times and this has never happened before.

Try talking with all of them if it still doesn’t work it’s probably a result of messing with the code

Are you with your rival facing off against a bunch of them in the far room? This has happened to me. Iirc I needed to speak to my rival first, and then I could speak to the plasma grunt.

If not, if you can send a video of you talking to the NPC’s, it will be super helpful to see if there’s something going on
