Well, let's begin by bashing on the Sharpedophile of UU.
> Terrible Defensive game
> 4 Move syndrome
> Walled greatly by Defensive Pokemon (Registeel & such)
> Priority kills
> Weak to all forms of Hazards
> Susceptible to all types of status

Well, now that we know how horrible Sharpedo can really be, let's bring out one of the sexiest sets this sharky offers (According to thy Mike/Hoιγ Σiκe). SubLiechi Sharpedo!*

Not a Shark (Sharpedo) @ Liechi Berry
Sharpedo
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Substitute
- Crunch
- Waterfall
- Earthquake

Welcome one of the Hyper Offense gods (or Pokemon) that resides in UU. EVs ensure the fastest Sharpedo possible while being able to max out its Atk stat and be able to set up a Sub 5 times max. Substitute & Liechi Berry (Raises Atk stat when the Pokemon is at 25% HP or less) are the crux of this set, thus composing a very scary monster. After the Berry boost, Sharpedo with a Jolly nature and boasts a scary attack stat that almost reaches 510! (508.5 exactly). If you get somewhat ballsy and opt to go for an Adamant nature, you get a much more terrifying attack stat of 558! This surely guarantees to put a dent in anything, not mattering if the opponent resists or not. Then, we have our coverage moves. Waterfall + Crunch offer some extremely great coverage in UU, only being walled by Pokemons such as Virizion and Empoleon. Then, Earthquake comes in to round up the coverage (still walled by the uncommon Virizion :/), allowing you to hit the previous mentioned Empoleon, as well as Cobalion and Raikou. The best part is, no one expects it! Yeah, Protect + 3 Attacks is so common that no one (meaning a majority of people) will just switch in into a wall which you snatch up a free sub. Or, in some cases, they'll just launch some status moves at you, only to find out that you weren't affected by it. This guy can certainly rip holes through prepared AND unprepared teams. Truly lives up to its fame & glory.

This set is amazing. Really, it is. To this day I still use it in UU when my Mega Slot is taken. Adamant is better, however, because Sharpedo will still outspeed everything with Speed Boost

Sharpedo @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Adamant / Jolly Nature
- Substitute / Protect
- Crunch
- Waterfall
- Ice Fang / Poison Fang

I'm very much aware of the similar moveset here, but hey, gotta include the Mega stone. This thing just rips through walls with a jacked Crunch. Before Mega Evolving, it's a good idea to set up a Substitute first to get a free Speed Boost. Mega Sharpedo is still quite frail, so it's an advisable thing to keep it going for an extra hit behind a Sub as well as counteracting opponent Sash users. Crunch and Waterfall are STABs and Ice Fang or Poison Fang (It gets Poison Fang in ORAS for Fairy) are good coverage.

Sharpedo @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Zen Headbutt / Earthquake

Aqua Jet: Come in on a weakened Pokemon for the revenge kill with stab priority and get the speed boost. Works like Protect on other sets.

Waterfall: Good STAB with a nifty flinch chance if that would be needed.

Crunch: STAB and rounds out coverage.

Zen Headbutt/Earthquake Zen Headbutt allows Sharpedo to take care of threats it normally couldn't like Poliwrath and Throh.
Earthquake gets some coverage and neutral hit on opposing Sharpedos.

Here is my Sharpedo Moveset preffered to be used in the UU Metagame, but works in the OU Metagame:

Sharpedo (M) @ Life Orb
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 164 SpA / 92 Spe
Naughty Nature
- Protect
- Waterfall
- Crunch / Earthquake
- Ice Beam

This Sharpedo is nice, because with the provided EV Spread and Ice Beam, Sharpedo is able to 2HKO defensive variants of Zapdos and Shaymin, while nails threats like Darmanitan and Victini for a likely OHKO. Protect makes me get a free Speed Boost and allows to scout Choiced Pokes to see what they'll use. Waterfall is STAB with a nice Flinch chance. Crunch is also STAB, but due to poor coverage, Earthquake can be considered for this moveslot. Ice Beam covers Flygon, Zapdos, Grass Types, and Physical Walls. Beware of Bronzong though. EVs give it enough SAtk to 2HKO Specially Defensive Zapdos and Shaymin, while having max Attack and goood enough Speed.

Sharpedo (F) @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 6 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Crunch
- Ice Fang / Earthquake
- Protect

Use Protect before you Mega to get off a Speed Boost. Waterfall is STAB, Crunch is STAB that gets boosted by Strong Jaw, & Ice Fang is also boosted by Stong Jaw and gives good coverage overall. You could also go for Earthquake to cover your Electric-type weakness.

Lel. Time for more stupid movesets with Radicool21.

Sharpedo @ Choice Specs
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Scald / Hydro Pump
- Ice Beam
- Dark Pulse
- Hidden Power [Fire]

OK, so this one is mainly just surprise.

Mega Sharpedo actually has a half-decent Sp. Attack stat. I would suggest Hydro Pump / Dark Pulse / HP Fire / Protect. It loses out on the Strong Jaw boost, but it can still function as a surprise sweeper.
I was actually considering M-Sharpedo but the lack of Strong Jaw was eh to me. But yeah I could defs see a Mega set working. If only it got Nasty Plot...

Role: Flinch-Sweeper

Sharpedo @ King's Rock
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Waterfall
- Bite
- Swagger / Substitute
- Ice Fang

This move set was meant for flinching. With the King's Rock, Waterfall and Bite get a 30% chance of flinching while getting the STAB boost. Ice Fang also gets a 10% chance of flinching and is there for coverage (Grass). Adamant Nature, 252 Attack Evs, 252 Speed Evs, and Speed Boost is the sweeper part of this Sharpedo. You can use Substitute or Swagger to keep yourself sustainable in battle then attack- giving a chance of flinch for more sustainability.

King's Rock doesn't stack with moves that can already flinch so the item is useless

Try the High Crit Ratio Mega Sharpedo =)

Sharpedo @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Focus Energy
- Night Slash
- Waterfall
- Earthquake / Ice Fang / Protect

On the last slot you can choose, Protect is a good thing to have the init Boost, Ice Fang and Eq are for coverages.

Sharpedo @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Aqua Jet / Waterfall
- Crunch
- Ice Fangs
- Psychic Fang / Poison Fang / Earthquake

GENERAL USAGE :
Sharpedo has amazing offensive capabilities, possessing a really strong ability to sweep mid-to-late game. His move set is good, and so are his stats. To use him effectively, you want to bring him out on an easy kill in the later game, when more of their Pokemon are weakened. Then, they will be either forced to switch or die, giving him a speed boost, out-speeding pretty much any foe that isn't scarfed. His nice ability, strong jaws, from the mega evolution will give a boost to biting moves, adding to his power.
MOVE USAGE :
Aqua Jet gives him a nice priority in cases that may beg for it (like when you are against a mach punching Infernape), but Waterfall has a good amount of damage, taking on bulkier opponents. Crunch paired with strong jaw from the mega evolution and STAB will hit hard, no doubt about it. Ice Fangs is boosted from the mega as well, and provides dire coverage to Dragon and Flying types. Psychic Fangs is also boosted and has a good base power of 85, providing cover to Fighting types, but Poison Fangs is also boosted and helps deal with Grass types. Earthquake has good amount of damage, and offers a great amount of coverage.

Sharpedo @ Liechi Berry
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Liquidation
- Night Slash
- Poison Jab
- Avalanche / Protect / Substitute / Zen Headbutt

  • Liquidation (STAB better than crunch without strong jaw and lowers Def)
  • Night Slash (high critical hit ratio, STAB and super effective against dark)
  • Poison Jab (more damage than poison fang without strong jaw, inflicts poison status effect and super effective against grass and fairy)

Ice fang outclasses avalanche in destroying grass and dragon types, as avalanche is - prioirity. Also, dark isn't good against dark.

National Dex Monotype (Water)

Sharpedo @ Sharpedonite
Ability: Speed Boost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Protect
- Substitute
- Crunch
- Psychic Fangs

Mega Sharpedo is used as a late-game cleaner for Water-type teams in NatDex Monotype when its checks are weakened or knocked out. Before Mega Evolving Sharpedo, use Protect and Substitute to rack up at least 2 Speed Boosts so Mega Sharpedo won't be revenge killed as easily. Protect is used for a free Speed Boost. Substitute is also used to get a Speed Boost turn and can potentially dodge status conditions that would hinder Mega Sharpedo's ability to clean such as burns, paralysis, and poison. If you use Substitute on a Pokemon who's forced to switch out, you could potentially make Mega Sharpedo harder to revenge kill and be taken out in general. Crunch is Mega Sharpedo's STAB move, as it is boosted by Mega Sharpedo's ability, Strong Jaw, which makes it more powerful. Psychic Fangs is a coverage move boosted by Strong Jaw that lets Mega Sharpedo hit Pokemon such as Toxapex, Mega Venusuar, Galarian Zapdos, Urshifu-Rapid-Strike, and Keldeo super effectively.

Mega Sharpedo is used late-game on Rainless Water teams, so its teammates should eliminate or weaken the Pokemon that would otherwise wall Mega Sharpedo so it can effectively clean. Swampert and Slowking are exellent partners for Mega Sharpedo. Swampert provides Stealth Rock to chip opposing Pokemon, and Slowking can use Future Sight for more chip damage. Both can bring in Mega Sharpedo safely, with Swampert using Flip Turn, and Slowking using Teleport. Urshifu-Rapid-Strike is an offensive Pokemon Mega Sharpedo appreciates, as Urshifu deals with Pokemon such as Tyranitar. Tapu Fini helps weaken or knock out Pokemon like Mega Sableye, and could potentially protect Mega Sharpedo from status conditions if Misty Terrain is up.
