Well, this is going to be fun with both DarkTyphlosion and Swampert. Mine knows:

Rain Dance: Increases Speed and powers up Waterfall.

Waterfall: Decent chance to cause flinching, STAb, powred up by Rain Dance.

Ice Fang: Used to eal with Grass and Dragon types.

Screech: Lowers foe's defense, allowing more damage to be done.

I would trade waterfall for aqua tail. it still has STAB, but has slightly higher power, it still has dependable accuracy. Another suggestion would be crunch

Personnal opinion there. Power for accuracy. Waterfall and Aqua Tail are the pretty much the same. Ten less power for ten more accuracy.I like Waterfall better because of the flinch chance helped by Swift Swim. Nice to see you back again.
True that. I'm going to edit this because there was an interesting move I didn't see before.
Huntail can learn Baton pass, but the only stat move it can pass is double team.
Crunch for Waterfall? Or for another move? If for Waterfall, you know Huntail isn't a Dark type right? I'm guessing for Screech? Try putting that in your answer from now on. Onward to Gorebyss.
It can also pass Substitute and Iron Defense.
Forgot about those 2.

How bout Avalanche. Huntail has a pretty low base speed(52). So it can do a lot of damage and be better than ice fang pretty easily. Hntail also has decent sp. attack so ice beam is another choice.

Could you could have both, one special and one physical?

Shell-smash is for boosting. Scald is STAB and status. Ice-beam is for coverage. Hidden-power(Electric) is coverage.

Huntail @ Life Orb/White Herb

~ EVs 252 Atk / 4 SpA / 252 Spe

~ Nature Naughty/Naive

~ Shell Smash
~ Waterfall
~ Ice Beam
~ Crunch/Return

Shell Smash boosts its attack Special attack and speed to nice levels, giving it a nice chance at sweeping.
Waterfall is STAB, and has pretty good neutral coverage, with a chance of flinching which one can test his or her luck with if needed.
Ice Beam hits Grass types hard, which takes Waterfalls pretty well often and also hits dragon types.
Crunch is here for bulky ghost types, who can burn Huntail after taking an attack, so this is for such occasions, and hits Psychic types harder.
Return has good neutral coverage with Waterfall.
Life Orbgive Huntail more power, but White Herb can help in setting up and helps against priority attacks as well.

Once you get a shell smash in it should make you fast enough to outspeed the opponent and pass it on to something good like a dragonite. Then the sweeping begins.

EVs:200 Atk, 200 sp. A, 108 HP
Quite Nature (+sp.A- Spd)
-Waterfall (Physical STAB)
-Hydro Pump (Special STAB)

Huntail is bulky enough that it could take a hit (give it Focus Band if you don't want it to die), then you can spam what ever move is needed. It can cover it's weaknesses well, and can use both physical and special Water moves. The only problem is, this is an all attack moveset and very little strategy. However being so simple means it won't be predicted.

I use huntail as a staller, clamp with binding band does a fair bit

Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
-Clamp (prevents switching, deals 1/8 HP a turn(1/6 with binding band))
-Toxic (no brainer)
-Protect (^^^)
-Brine/Aqua jet (STAB)

Brine is a great one for dealing good damage after a few clamps
Aqua jet is good for finishing the job because priority

Binding Band? Isn't that a thing from Super Mario Oddyssey? Do you mean Grip Claw?
