Well when you hatched the Eevee (Jolteon) did you have a Pokemon with Flame Body/Magma Armor in your team because if you have a Pokemon with Flame Body/Magma Armor the steps for hatching the egg is cut in half.

If you don't have a Pokemon with Flame Body/Magma Armor in your team with your Eevee egg it will take longer to hatch.

It takes 9,180 steps to hatch an eevee. So with Flame Body/Magma Armor you will need 4,590 steps to hatch the Eevee egg.

Hope this helps =P

never had a pokemon with flame body :P and thanks.
That's wrong. It doubles the amount of steps needed, not reduces.
@Primal Kyogre Why would it double the number of steps needed? How about fact-checking things before you give an answer to something.

It takes 9,180 steps to hatch an eevee. If you had a pokemon with flame body or magma armor, it will speed up the process. I have three suggestions why this is happining.

  1. You had a pokemon with magma body or magma armor while hatching your first eevee.

  2. Something is wrong with you.

  3. This is probably the best reason, though I may be wrong (don't down vote me if it is wrong just comment). On eevee's page it says a MINIMUM of 9, 180
