If you mean a walkthrough then yes it's been asked before. Personally I'm not a huge fan of walkthroughs, and in fact Pokebase should solve most problems because if you are stuck on something you can ask for help!
Asking "what Pokemon should I use" is generally not a good question but if you are having problems with a certain gym then a question asking for help would probably be okay. For example "I can't beat Whitney's Miltank in HeartGold. What Pokemon are available before the gym that have super-effective moves?" There would be a few set answers, no opinions.
