Just now I posted the wrong answer on a question, but it was the same person who asked the question on a different page. Gligurr asked 2 questions on 2 different pages. I must've clicked on the wrong one and posted an answer. Within 10 minutes, I receive 2 downvotes... instead of commenting back to me, these people downvote... My question is WHY can't I have those downvotes removed as I posted the answer accidentally on a question with a completely different subject.

For this matter, I'd like an answer from someone who's speaking from experience of this issue.

I asked for someone with experience because a lot of people appear to comment without reading the 2nd paragraph....
Downvotes are used as a way to show dissatisfaction with a question or answer. This may be because the question is beyond stupid or the answer unhelpful/irrelivent.
Bunnies are cute, and my opinion was that the answer was not as good as it could have been.

Downvotes are used on bad answers. So it may be that you get downvoted because of something you said, or the wrong answer, but honestly points are easy to come buy. Just answer a bunch of things and at some point you'll find you have 3 upvotes and two downvotes, you made ten points. Downvotes will happen, accept that, move on, it won't change your life.

If you feel you were unjustly spammed downvotes then you should comment on the ban report page, but I don't think that's the case here.
