[PokeBase Problems] Misusing the flag system

Question

Here is a HUGE problem in the Pokebase, misusing the flag system. In a question made by Astronautical, I was just telling him a fact about the Legendary Birds and it got 2 flags. Another example is a old question hidden by Fizz. I was just asking about 3D walking in XY and that got 1 flag. Last example is when I told sumwun people can use what they want and then 1 flag. So we really need a solution for this thing.

I'm sure that whoever flagged your posts had legitimate reasons to do so. The flagging system is fine the way it is; I'd just show the flagged posts to a moderator and ask why they got flagged, since they would be able to help you better than this would.

A post needs 5 flags to get hidden, which usually doesn't happen if the post doesn't really break a rule. Flagged posts attract attention from editors and moderators, who will clear the flags if the post doesn't break a rule.

I checked the rules and memorized it 3 times and none of those was breaking the rules.

As long as it's 2-3 flags it shouldn't be that big of a problem. If you're sure no rules are broken, then the mods can remove them without it being hidden. If you get 5 flags before that, then you can assume you broke a rule by mistake; one or two might be a mistake, but at least 5 people thinking so is 99% not an overlook. Getting 5 flags is rare-ish, so you don't have to worry about your stuff hidden. You can just ignore one or two flags if you're sure of it, I guess. If anything, think of it as free marketing; flagged messages are more noticeable :P

Also flag misusing IS, as far as I know, not allowed, so if your posts and constantly getting flags for no good reason then you could talk to a mod about it. I think the flag system itself is fine though.

Bottom line: If your comment gets 5 flags or is hidden by a mod, it's 99% of the time breaking the rules.  If not, don't sweat it like PX said.
