Suggestion: Make retags silent.

Question

I don't really see the point in bumping a question to the top of the "All Activity" page when a question is retagged. There's really not many malicious things that you could do by retagging a question, and even if someone did, for whatever reason, retag something to be offensive, it would either be quickly noticed, if it's a recent question or a question with recent activity on it, or not noticed at all, if it's an old question with no recent activity on it. Retags would be useful for getting rid of old tags with only a few uses without pushing everything out of the "All Activity" page. Also, as a side question, I know that mods can silently edit posts so that they aren't bumped to the top of the activity page, but does the same apply for retags?

But then I wouldn’t be able to spam my “Updates” so I can retag you retagging my dumb tags that don’t make any sense! Terrible idea I downvoted. (I didn’t really downvote but seriously I hate not being able to troll with out of place tags.) Especially Please-dont-retag-this and Bring-me-up-to-Speed-Freak

That's not really trolling. It's just you thinking that you're some sort of comedic genius by making me have to retag your questions when you use tags that I have, multiple times, asked you not to use.

not sure if this needs to be bumped again, but i just wanted to voice my support for this. im not sure if all the folks who can retag stuff are affected by it or not, but on the off chance this is limited to rank beyond "Expert", i'd request that all re-tagging be made silent. If Mods can still see things that have been silently retagged, that'd prevent people from possibly exploiting it.
