Problem with questions already asked

I've noticed a few times now that when I go to ask a question in the Q&A section, it doesn't always show the most related questions to make sure it hasn't already been asked. For example, I asked a question about Ash defeating the Indigo League and I didn't see that the question had already been asked until after I asked the question.

What are you asking? I'm pretty sure the related questions are based off of the title of the question and/or the tags. It's not a perfect system.

Programming websites to find duplicate questions is difficult. I personally think Pokemaster has better things to do with his time.
