Suggestion: Allow pinging of idle users in chat

Question

So, over the past few years I've been on this website, I've noticed that on occasions chat mods would be on idle while a new user will be active in the chat spamming or unknowingly breaking the rules. I think if people could "ping" moderators or other users to get their attention by using the @ symbol + username, similarly to Discord, it'll send a notification to that user if idle. I believe this would be an efficient way to reach out to staff and/or friends when needed.

If this or a similar concept does get implemented, I think it would be handy if @ + Username would also link to that users profile.

Yeah, that is a bit of an issue. For now, all of the staff are active on Discord, so you can ping us there if you think one of us needs to visit the chat.

I mean yes, but not everybody has discord or knows the mods on social media ;0 I think future wise this would be great to implement for the sake of new or younger members as well. I know now i can, but i'm sure other users may not even know of the db discord

For reference a good amount of time im 'idle' on chat I'm afk and wouldn't be able to see the ping anyway
