Meta-PokéBase Q&A

I personally find it odd how the Experts are called Experts, when all they can do is edit, and Editors are called Editors, even though they have more expertise than Experts, most of the time. Is there a reason to this?

Not very important, but I've been curious for a while.

I'm just going to say that when the site first launched, this wasn't the case at all, when I started there weren't that many non-staff with over 6k.

Out of the box, Q2A behaves similarly to how you described (i.e. editing is for editors). However, Pokemaster chose different permissions for PokeBase.

The way the software works essentially forces expert to be a "weaker" role than editor, so if you want a platform like ours where role A can edit, role B can hide and role B > role A, then the name system we have here is the only one possible.
