there's an octopus character in a show I like, and I was talking to someone about a pokemon that could represent it. I needed a list so I could figure out the most similar pokemon to it, and I totally forgot the people in this fandom are freaks

Hello. I saw your question in chat about the smaller sprites on the moveset threads. Assuming you were talking about the ones you saw on the Glimmora moveset thread, the sprites I used came from Pokemon Showdown's index of sprites:

The other ones I use (the animated sprites) on moveset threads come from https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/ani/

If you also asked the ones on the Miraidon moveset thread as well, (specfically on this answer: https://pokemondb.net/pokebase/413401/what-is-a-good-moveset-for-miraidon?show=430509#a430509) the Miraidon sprite that was used came from: https://play.pokemonshowdown.com/sprites/ani/

The smaller sprites used on that same answer came from Smogon. If you wanted to use those smaller sprites, you can do some by using this link:

And replace the name of the Pokemon with the Pokemon you want the sprite of, so if you wanted to do one for Glimmora, just replace the ho-oh part with:
