Gen 8 NU or PU

Vanilluxe @ Icy Rock
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Atk / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Blizzard
- Freeze-Dry
- Ice Shard / Taunt
- Explosion

Blizzard is STAB and doesn't miss in Hail. Freeze Dry deals with water types. You can use either Ice Share to revenge kill weakned Pokémon, or Taunt if you use this Vanilluxe as a lead. Explosion is to well....explode.

Two Scoops of Deathly Frostbite

Vanilluxe @ Leftovers / Icy Rock
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Blizzard
- Flash Cannon / Water Pulse
- Hail
- Hidden Power [Ground]

  • Blizzard- high power STAB
  • Flash Cannon/Water Pulse- adds more coverage with nice effects
  • Hail- works with ability, ups SpD, and powers up Blizzard
  • Hidden Power(Ground)- eliminate 3 weakness with one move

Advice for readers: go for the Ice Rock if it's a hail team.

Vanilluxe

Sun Sweeper?(Hope my cone doesn't melt)

Vanilluxe @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 98 HP / 252 SpA / 160 Spe
Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Weather Ball
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Autotomize

Ice-beam is for STAB. Weather-ball is a strong Fire-type move in the Sun. HP(Ground) is for coverage. Autotomize boosts speed. Ice-body makes it so if the weather is change to Hail(Which is a possibility) you get healing.

Gen 8 NU

Vanilluxe @ Choice Specs
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
- Blizzard
- Freeze-Dry
- Flash Cannon
- Explosion / Aurora Veil

NU Council has recently unbanned Snow Warning and banned Arctovish, so Snow Warning is allowed in NU again. I'm not sure how much hail will be used, but here is a Choice Specs Vanilluxe set. Blizzard is your most powerful STAB move and doesn't miss thanks to hail. Freeze Dry is for STAB that targets the water types in the tier like Starmie, Blastoise, and Vaporeon. Flash Cannon allows you to OHKO Diancie after Stealth Rock. (and can be useful for opposing ice types?) The last move, is honestly for a filler move, as Vanilluxe doesn't have a good movepool. Explosion is probably the best one. Aurora Veil is also an option to lessen damage done to you and your teammates. I know I have Timid and Modest as the natures for this set, but Hasty / Mild nature can work if you don't want Explosion's power to be weakened by the -attack nature.

Vaniluxe (F) @ Never-Melt Ice
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 104 HP / 200 SpA / 200 SpD
Calm Nature
- Hail
- Blizzard
- Water Pulse
- Substitute

  • Hail- heals & I now know that it also increases a bunch of things, & hurts the enemy!
  • Blizzard- one of the best stab moves especially with hail working simultaneously
  • Water Pulse- taking advantage of egg moves & high sp attack
  • Substitute- heals damage taken from this in hail & allows a few moves of attack without damage

1 HP sweeper

Vanilluxe
I know, I know, they aren't popular these days cause of hazards. But hear me out, please.

Perry's (Vanilluxe) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Weak Armor
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Mild / Modest Nature
- Ice Beam
- Hidden Power [Ground]
- Signal Beam
- Ice Shard / Mirror Coat

A little suprise for those Physical guys. This swept half a team. Weak Armor will get you more Speed to Sweep. If you'd lika a 1-time use OHKO to any Special Attacker, Use Mirror Coat. If you want to revenge kill with STAB Priority Ice Shard, that's another viable option. Ice Beam is your main STAB. Hidden Power gets you coverage to Rock, Fire, and Steel- covering all its weaknesses except Fighting. Signal Beam kills Dark and Psychic.

Replace Ice Shard/Mirror Coat with Autotomize, and you've got something here.
If you worry about hazards with this set, try Heavy Duty Boots. I know it kind of ruins the whole point of it being at 1 HP because Flamethrower decimates it, but it's not the worst idea! Oh, and Rapid Spin, if it can learn it!

This is more of a question, than an answer, but

I was just wondering if it is an optional strategy to build Vanilluxe tanky...

Vanilluxe @ Leftovers
Ability: Ice Body
EVs: 127 HP / 100 Def / 128 SpA / 155 SpD
Modest Nature
- Hail
- Blizzard
- Acid Armor
- Light Screen

Hail
- Gain 1/16 of your max HP every round (Combined with Leftovers there will be 1/8)
- I have heard that it also increases Sp. Defense by 50 %
- And in addition boosting Blizzard to 100 % chance and plus 50 % damage

Blizzard
- Doing massive damage (120 1.5(Hail) 1.5(Vanilluxe is an ice type)) = 270

Acid Armor
- Increases defense by two stages

Light Screen
- Decreases foe's Sp. Attack damage by 50 % --> Same as doubling the Sp. Defense
- Combined with Hail: 1.5*2= 3 times the Sp. Defense --> Sp Attacks will do 33 % of ordinary damage

Is all of my maths true? Is this an optional way of building Vanilluxe or is it far better having better Sp. Attack coverage with Speed EVs?

I'll be very thankful if someone answer :-D

This really isn't the place to ask about it, just post the set.

Gen 7 sets because now (s)he can get Snow Warning

~~~
Moveset 1: bulky-ish/offensive
Vanilluxe @ Icy Rock
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 SpA / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Bold / Calm Nature
- Acid Armor
- Mirror Coat
- Blizzard
- Hidden Power [Ground] / Water Pulse / Flash Cannon
~~~
Moveset 2: bulky

Vanilluxe @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 252 HP / 128 Def / 128 SpD
Bold / Calm Nature
- Acid Armor
- Mirror Coat
- Toxic
- Protect

Acid Armor and Mirror Coat are on both of these because I think they work well together. By spamming Acid Armor, you raise your defense, which will deter physical attackers and attract special attackers. Then use Mirror Coat to counter any incoming special attacks. On the more offensive set, Blizzard is a must because of the hail. Your last move is coverage, either HP Ground (good against Fire, Rock, and Steel), HP Water (good against Fire and Rock), or Flash Cannon (good against Rock). For the bulkier set, of course we have Toxic and Protect, and Leftovers. As an added bonus, the hail hits every type except Ice.

Ice Cream (Vanilluxe) @ Leftovers
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Weather Ball / Blizzard
- Automize
- Aurora Veil
- Explosion

Explanation
-Ice Cream excels at delivering free winter at every battle. Using Aurora Veil allows you to last REALLY LONG and Leftovers complement it. Weather Ball better than Ice Beam due to the 10 more base power, and Freezing isn't the best status condition at all, Blizzard if you really wanna abuse that Snow Warning. Explode to give a parting present once in a pinch, you may replace it with Hyper Beam to surprise enemies in a different way. Automize allows you to become faster, and you'd be a bit lighter (I know, it's rare to see heavy slam) it also reduces damage from Low Kick.

-Hail weather also increases your Ice Cream's Special Defense by 50%, so it may take more time to melt.

Sandstorm is the only weather that raises special defense. Hail doesn't do that.

Having one of the most hated desgins of all time, this refreshing Pokémon is constantly trashed on by the community. I'm not one of those people - I actually really like Vanilluxe! I really enjoyed using it I'm my first Unova playtrough in Pokémon Black and its base form Vanillite is one the cutest Pokémon ever!

Gen VIII PU
Hail Yeah! (Aurora Veil WallBreaker)
Vanilluxe @ Heavy-Duty Boots/ Life Orb
Ability: Snow Warning
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid/ Modest Nature
- Blizzard
- Freeze-Dry/ Flash Cannon/ Water Pulse
- Aurora Veil
- Taunt/ Toxic

Vanilluxe can act as a great Hail abuser, setting Aurora Veil for its teammates and spamming powerful Blizzards comming of its high Sp.Attack stat

The boots protect it from hazards, but if you think you can deal with those well enough, Life Orb makes it more powerful.
The second slot goes for a coverage move. Freeze Dry is the preferred option as it can hit hit Water types and it is STAB (I wish it got Focus Blast but it doesn't).
Taunt and Toxic are for breaking trough walls like Jellicent, Regirock and Ferroseed more easily.
