How did my Lugia thaw out?

Question

It got frozen by Ice Beam, then it thawed out and used Thunder Wave. I thought only Sacred Fire stuff can do it. Can anybody help?

you mean it thawed out immediately after it was frozen? like, in the same turn?

im not sure it either thawed out at the end of the turn or at the start of the next turn b4 it used Thunder Wave

It can thaw out at any turn. It doesn't always take forever, like sleep, it can cure itself immediately (if you have a truckload of lucky charms to help you of course).
