Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers
Type : Grass / Fairy
Ability : Grassy Surge
Nature : Adamant ( Atk+ Spa- )
EVs : 112 Hp / 252 Atk / 144 Spe

  • Horn Leech
  • Brick Break
  • Leech Seed
  • Bulk Up

This set allows Tapu Bulu to stay very long in battles. 144 EVs in Speed allows Tapu Bulu to outspeed Defensive Landorus-T, while max EVs in Attack allows its moves to hit harder. The rest is placed in Hp to boost its bulk more. Horn Leech, Leech Seed, Leftovers, Grassy Terrain, allows Tapu Bulu to heal for lots of Hp, meaning it can never die. Bulk Up raises its already amazing attack and also Defence to withstand physical hits, boosting its bulk. Brick Break breaks Reflects and Light Screens for your team, also providing more coverage which is for Ferrothorn and Heatran. Horn Leech is also awesome with Grassy Terrain, while Leech Seed stalls the opponent.

Wouldn't a big root be more useful than leftovers?

Tapu Bulu is a great sweeper, but lacks speed. We are fixing that today by using...

Choice Scarf Tapu Bulu.

Tapu Bulu @ Choice Scarf
Adamant Nature
Ability: Grassy Terrain
EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Spe / 4 HP

  • Wood Hammer
  • Horn Leech
  • Superpower/Brick Break
  • Stone Edge

This is an unorthodox set, but it can work. Wood Hammer is amazing STAB and in Grassy Terrain, it's incredible. Horn Leech is for recovering health, while dealing damage. Superpower is Ice and Steel coverage, but Brick Break does the same thing and doesn't lower Attack and Defense. Stone Edge hits Fire, Flying, and Ice types.

BULU HAMMER!

Tapu Bulu @ Choice Band
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spe
Adamant Nature
- Horn Leech
- Superpower
- Stone Edge
- Wood Hammer

The Wood Hammer will terrorise most of the Alolan Pokemon in this game! You get a hammer! You get a hammer! YOU GET A HAMMER!

With the Adamant, Grassy Terrain, Choice Band, Atk EV boost, total comes to near 400 Atk Points; Wood Hammer becomes a OHKO Move on most Pokemon!

Vs. Bewear:
- 252+ Atk Choice Band Tapu Bulu Wood Hammer vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Bewear: 402-474 (90.5 - 106.7%) -- 43.8% chance to OHKO

Nice set. +1 vote.
You get a hammer! You get a hammer! YOU GET A HAMMER! Lol that part was hilarious.
I shall now knight you Tapu Bulu of THE HAMMER.
How do you teach Tapu bulu moves learned before capture?
I-JustWannaBeGood there is a move reminder at mount lanakila which allows you to learn previous moves the pokemon might have forgotten or learn a move that they weren't previously able to learn. Go to Mt. Lanakila, located on Ula'ula and take a trip to the pokecenter. To the right of the shop there will be a woman in a flower dress. She is the move reminder. For payment, she requires a heart scale. You can find these in Konikoni city on akala island. Visit the restaurant there and after each meal you get 2 heart scales. Hope this helped!
Besides Wood hammer looks even cooler than a Z-move this gen! the animation got a great improvement.

Tapu Bulu @ Choice Band
EVs: 252 HP/252 Atk/4 Sp.Def
Nature: Careful
Ability: Grassy Surge

Horn Leech
Stone Edge
Brick Break
Zen Headbutt

It has some decent status moves like Leech Seed, but considering this is a Choice set, that's out. Still, this set will turn out great!

Its main attack is Horn Leech- with the attack boost + STAB, it would do LOTS of damage and heal a lot of HP. Stone Edge can get Flying, Bug, and Fire types on the switch, and Brick Break- Steel types. Zen Headbutt deals with Poison types.

Horn Leech is also boosted by grassy terrain. One thing: Why not Adamant? Still, love this set and will upvote!
Wow that was rather onixpected. I thought it was terrible but idk...
Wow! I just got Tapu Bulu in pokemon sword dlc and I was scanning the internet for a set like this. Good Job!!!

Substitute + Bulk Up

Gen 8 UU

Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Def / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Substitute
- Bulk Up
- Horn Leech
- High Horsepower / Stone Edge / Rock Slide

Substitute is to help you setup up and can help shield yourself from status conditions. Bulk Up boosts your attack and defense. Horn Leech is STAB that gets boosted by Grassy Terrain, and can heal you. High Horsepower is for coverage against poison, fire, and steel types. Stone Edge or Rock Slide can be used instead to deal with flying types.

Tapu Bulu @ Leftovers/Big Root
Ability: Grassy Surge
EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 SpD
Careful Nature
- Bulk Up
- Horn Leech
- Leech Seed
- Brick Break/Megahorn/Stone Edge/Zen Headbutt

I haven't played competitive SM yet but this looks pretty broken. With grassy surge and bulk up you can do lots of damage with horn leech which also heals you and leech seed is also healing you so you get lots of healing every turn. The last slot can be whatever coverage you need.

Here is a good moveset for Tapu Bulu to be honest.

Tapu Bulu @ Tapunium Z
Nature doesn't matter and just EV train all on speed/attk
Nature's Madness {Fairy type of Super Fang}
Bulk Up
Mega-Horn
Skull Bash

Nature Madness cuts your opponent hp in half, and Bulk Up raises extra power for mega horn and skull bash. Along with skull bash extra defense after atleast two - three Bulk Ups for being a tank. Megahorn cover its weakness and if your opponent isn't setting up with Embargo, Thief or Knock Off the Z-move Will pretty much sweep you enemies.

Bulky physical sweeper
Tapu Bulu@Leftovers/Grassy Seed
Tapu Bulu
Ability:Grassy Surge
Nature:Adamant
EVs:252 HP/252 Atk/4 Def
-Swords Dance
-Horn Leech
-High Horsepower
-Stone Edge
The terrain is very helpful, as it powers up Horn Leech, gradually heals you, and can activate the grassy seed if you choose that. Swords Dance is setup. Horn Leech is STAB and heals. High Horsepower and Stone Edge are EdgeQuake coverage and covers every weakness.

Oh, and here’s a sweep for ya
