If you have a good competitive moveset for Mimikyu, post an answer below and upvote the best ones. Movesets for its pre-evolutions, if any, can also be shared on this thread.

Be sure to include full set details in your post, e.g. items, abilities, natures and EVs. Some detail, including the intended game mode for your set, is also appreciated. Access the full list of guidelines here.

Mimikyu Pokédex and learnset for reference.

Whoever voted down MovesetBot, please do not do that.
I wonder if someone will post a Z-Splash meme set.
There was a Z splash set at Solgaleo's question.
Where did my answer go?

Jar Jar wanted this, pretty much everone wants this:

Mimikyu @ Normalium-Z
Nature: Adamant
Ability: Disguise
EVs: 252 Atk 252 Spe 4 HP

Splash
Play rough
Shadow sneak
Drain punch

This set is the mother of trolls. Disguise lets you have a free set up with Z-splash which makes this thing OP. If the opponent's Pokémon is faster, Shadow sneak should deal with them. Normal types are dealt with Drain punch. If a ghost type comes in, Shadow sneak. If a normal type comes in, Mimikyu should be able to tank 1 hit and the heal up with drain punch. Then there's Play rough...the name says it all.

Hope you like :)

Mimikyu @ Focus Sash
Ability: Disguise
Level: 1
EVs: 36 Def / 236 SpD
Sassy Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Destiny Bond
- Taunt
- Trick Room
- Shadow Sneak
Another F.E.A.R set. First turn it gets up trick room. Then, it can taunt and survive on sash. Then you die and let them die too from destiny bond. Fails against priority, multi hit moves, switching, and GEN 8. Gen 8 cause disguise got the -1/8 hp after broken disguise nerf

Mimikyu @ Aguav Berry
Ability: Disguise
EVs: ATK 252 SPa 4 SPE 252
Jolly Nature
Move 1: Swords Dance to boost Mimikyu’s already amazing attack
Move 2: Shadow sneak for coverage and has a 1+ Priority to out speed other Pokemon such as Raichu
Moves 3: Drain punch also for coverage and drains HP from other Pokemon
Mover 4: Play Rough for STAB and it has great power, a good fairy type move overall

I use this combo. First I use swords dance until my disguise is broken. Then I use Shadow sneak or play rough to attack with great power.
And finally drain opponent’s HP with drain punch

Hope I Helped ! :)

Gen 9 Doubles UU

Mimikyu @ Mental Herb
Ability: Disguise
Tera Type: Water
EVs: 248 HP / 252 Atk / 8 Def
Brave Nature
IVs: 0 Spe
- Trick Room
- Will-O-Wisp
- Play Rough
- Shadow Sneak

Thanks to it's great ability in Disguise and an immunity to Fake Out, Mimikyu is currently one of the most reliable Trick Room setters in the format, and is a great fit for Semi-Room and Full-Room teams. Trick Room is excellent speed control in doubles, turning the tables against faster teams. Will-O-Wisp lets Mimikyu spread burns, crippling physical attckers. Play Rough is Fairy STAB, capable of OHKOing Gallade, Meowscarada and Breloom (assuming the latter two are not holding a Focus Sash). Shadow Sneak is priority STAB, finishing off fast opponents both in and outside of Trick Room.

Mental Herb allows Mimikyu to ignore Taunt once. With the combination of Mental Herb and Disguise, it is very hard to knock out Mimikyu before it can set up Trick Room early game (especially when it's paired with a Fake Out user such as Hariyama, another excellent Pokémon on Trick Room teams). Tera Water allows Mimikyu to survive Scizor's Bullet Punch or Tinkaton's Gigaton Hammer in a pinch.

Gen 9 Monotype Choice Scarf (Ghost)

Mimikyu @ Choice Scarf
Ability: Disguise
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 Atk / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Jolly Nature
- Trick
- Play Rough
- Shadow Claw
- Drain Punch

Choice Scarf Mimikyu can be used on Ghost teams to help out with the Dark matchup. Play Rough is Mimikyu's most powerful STAB move (Phantom Force doesn't count). Shadow Claw is used for Mimikyu's Ghost STAB that pairs well with Play Rough. Drain Punch is useful for Steel-types such as Kingambit, Iron Treads, Magnezone, as well as Pokemon such as Chien-Pao. Drain Punch lets Mimikyu recover HP, which is nice. Trick lets Mimikyu get rid of its Choice Scarf and cripple defensive Pokemon who don't enjoy being locked into one move. Trick is also useful against Pokemon such as Corviknight, Clodsire and Quagisre who can check Swords Dance Mimikyu. Choice Scarf giving Mimikyu more speed is nice, but it sacrifices its damage output. Therefore, Spikes from Brambleghast is really appreciated.
