Can you soar over the region using an Eon Pokémon and the Eon Flute in Gen 7?

Question

If it's possible to soar over Alola, please specify how. If it's not, I'm going to quietly curse those developers over at Game Freak.

Side Note: for all those people out there who own a copy of ORAS and have never soared over Hoenn, you really should. It's really fun, much more so than normal flying, and provides access to various items, locations, flying Pokémon,  and legendary Pokémon. There's also a nifty feature called Mirage Spots which are locations exclusively reached by soaring.

You can't legitimately get an eon flute, but I don't know what happens if you hack the game to give one to yourself.

I doubt they would have programmed a feature as expansive as ORAS’s soaring through the sky in Gen 7 if there’s no way to access it.

No. There is no way to get the eon flute in gen 7 unless hacking counts.
