Once upon a time, a Pokemon named Calyrex rode his fellow shadow horse, Spectrier. Together they ruled the tier AG. Things seemed to be going well until Calyrex and Spectrier got into an argument. "You're nothing without me!" Spectrier would say. "Oh yeah? Watch me!" Calyrex would say. "Fine then, I am no longer your fellow shadow horse, and I'll banish you to ZU!" Spectrier said. And thus, Calyrex, without his horse, was banished into the realms of ZU.

Calyrex, ashamed to show its face in ZU, hides in a Substitute. While hiding, Calyrex would try to get a Calm Mind, raising its Special Attack and Special Defense while trying to convince himself he can try to accomplish something. Psyshock is STAB that shocks opponents from a little bit of energy he gained from riding his shadow horse. This energy is so shocking that it even hits special walls. Calyrex could opt for Stored Power to unleash all of the energy he has inside of him. Giga Drain is for Calyrex to heal himself.

Calyrex-Shadow @ Choice Specs
Ability: As One (Spectrier)
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Astral Barrage
- Energy Ball
- Psyshock
- Trick

This thing has great sweeping potential, with a 120 BP STAB move with 100% accuracy and no side effect. Choice Specs are for boosted power, and it already has 429 Special Attack without them. Astral Barrage is pretty broken, in my opinion. Energy Ball is for coverage. Psyshock is Psychic STAB that hits Special Walls. Trick can give your Choice Specs to a wall/physical attacker to annoy your opponent.

Seems good, but you can try Leaf Storm which is better for Choice Specs set.
My set had a sash with nasty plot + astral barrage + psyshock + pollen puff since leaf storm or energy ball can't really kill a dark type.

Let's have a look at Calyrex, first off stats, base 100 HP and base 80 everything else, so above average HP and mediocre at everything else. The only thing I see it being good at is a relatively tanky Special attacker, so here you go.

Calyrex @ Leftovers
Ability: Unnerve
EVs: 128 HP / 252 SpA / 128 Spe
Timid / Modest Nature
- Psychic
- Giga Drain
- Calm Mind
- Reflect

Psychic - STAB plus deals with the powerful fighting types of the tier, like Blaziken (but be careful with him).
Giga Drain - STAB and self recovery for the above average HP.
Calm Mind - Set up for extra bulk, but be careful who you set up against.
Reflect - Set up for the rest of your team as well as yourself, for Defense that you don't have EVs in.

I know, subpar moveset, no coverage, but it's a subpar Pokemon with no coverage.

Now is my favorite form, Calyrex Shadow Rider, an absolutely monstrous Special Sweeper, so here you go.

Ability: As One (Spectrier)
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe / 4 HP
Timid Nature
- Astral Barrage
- Nasty Plot

Astral Barrage - STAB, base 120 power with 100% accuracy without any drawbacks? obvious first pick
Nasty Plot - Raise Special Attack 2 stages, with Focus Sash it's guaranteed, perfect
Psychic - More stab, with a chance to lower sp.def, if they even survive the hit
Pollen Puff - Weird but it covers Dark types

Basically come in on something preferably that can't hit you and set up Nasty Plot, then proceed to sweep, or don't set up if you don't have to. Dark type? Kill it with Pollen Puff. Ghost type? Astral Barrage. Normal Type? Brute force it with Psychic.

Now for Calyrex Ice Rider, a once again monstrously powerful but this time physical attacker, but it's super slow, so time to prey it has decent priority moves or your running a Trick room team.

Close Combat - I know it lowers the defenses but it covers 3 of it's 6 weaknesses
Zen Headbutt - Decent Stab, but that's really it

Yes, it doesn't have much coverage for fire,bug, or ghost, but that's what switching is for, I only recommend this set for a trick room team though or else you'll get outsped and OHKO'd by one of it's 6 WEAKNESSES

Your Calyrex Shadow is exactly my set! I was thinking on putting Draining Kiss, but it has low power. And also, Sash makes sure it can set up a nasty plot. Then, max mindstorm, and boom. sucker punch and shadow sneak don't work.
@R3BEl, Focus Sash might be used to be able to tank moves such as sucker punch or just other moves that would normally OHKO it in the first place
Change the Defense EVs to HP EVs
i would recommend psyshock instead of psychic just to be able to take down pokemon like chansey and blissey more easily
Bro mine same calyrex - shadow set exactly it can't take a hit and moves are so awesome with it's monstrous stats and great movepool this thing has a ton of sweeping potential. Also I can say use psyshock it can kill special walls like blissey who is immune to astral barrage.

This set is to be used in Trick Room. Swords Dance to boost your Attack stat. Glacial Lance is a strong STAB Ice type move. Close Combat is good coverage and can boost your attack stat you Dynamax causing Close Combat to turn into Max Knuckle. What makes Max Knuckle powerful is that if you set up a Swords Dance, then Dynamax and OHKO a Pokemon using Max Knuckle, in addition to the Attack boost from Max Knuckle, you also get a boost from Calyrex-Ice's Ability, As One(Glastrier), which raises your attack stat even more when it knocks out a Pokemon. High Horsepower also provides good coverage.

This thing is an monster of AG. Combined with Dynamax, it has no true counters. Astral Barrage kills almost anything after a +1 boost. Draining Kiss kills SpD Yveltal after +2 boost, in Dynamaxed form as Max Starfall. Nasty Plot for stall breaking, while Psyshock induced Max Mindstorm making Psychic Terrain protects from Yveltal's Sucker Punch and Marshadow's Shadow Sneak. Alternatively, Substitute instead of Nasty Plot to protect from Ditto or Psyshock for Chansey.

Best used in a Trick Room team or one with Sticky Web. If you're going for Assault Vest only, invest in Speed EVs instead of SpD and replace SD with Throat Chop for coverage. If going for Life Orb or Weakness Policy, invest in SpD EVs instead of Speed to give Cally a chance against its' ghostly alter ego. Glacial Lance is a scary STAB with an impressive 130 BP and TR is there as this honse-rabbit is so slow - Though replace it with Zen Headbutt if you're going for AV. SD Supports your power even more, though even without SD, Calyrex-I is already very powerful with a maxed Atk EV, not to mention Chilling Neigh. High Horsepower is a high-powered coverage move - shame it didn't get EQuake instead.

Why Body Press over Close Combat? Calyrex-I is a Trick Room setter so without the move sounds dumb, and why not Max Spe over HP with Jolly nature on Webs?

Psyshock is still based on Calyrex-I's horrible SpA, so it should be removed. Close Combat and Throat Chop aren't as necessary as SD + High Horsepower because it helps to break Necro DM, one of its best counters which can stall you with Rocky Helmet + Recovery to not activate WP, so SD and High Horsepower shouldn't be alternate options imo. This could be like this:
- Glacial Lance
- Trick Room
- High Horsepower / something else
- Swords Dance / something else

ah btw, I'm still putting in Throat Chop since SD is pretty much unusable with AV on. I don't know what TR would be replaced with if AV is on so I'll just leave it be for a now.
You can go like this for AV: Glacial Lance / High Horsepower / zen headbutt or seed bomb / throat chop or something filler.

E: I'm not a huge fan of Assault Vest on a Stealth Rock weak mon tbh. Still your choice, I guess.
Dang it I totally forgor about that S-Rock weakness.

I put in AV so that it'd stand a chance against its' alter ego, though, since I figured out that it's weak towards Caly-S

Should be self-explanatory. Calm Mind boosts your Special Attack and Special Defense. Agility raises your speed. Giga Drain is STAB and is for healing. Stored Power is STAB and gets powerful the more you raise your stats with Calm Mind and Agility.

Seeing those annoying Necrozma-Dusk-Mane coming to all of your attacks? Now it's time for punishing it in return. Z-Moves are never limited to Light That Burns The Sky and Calyrex-S with Z-Moves (Z-Rex) but they are just too unexplored. With a Groundium Z, you can do a 180 BP Tectonic Rage, which straight OHKOes many steel-types without any boost, and Physically Defensive Necrozma-Dusk Mane after a Swords Dance. It's built around a Trick Room team, and never something like Agility . Now, let's see how it works:

Generally, you had wanted to bring this to a Ice-weak Pokemon that is afraid of getting KOed and will switch—like Eternatus, Arceus-Ground, non-V-Create Mega-Rayquaza. First, set up Trick Room if you don't have it already. Second, when the steel lion comes, you click a Swords Dance. Third, you click Tectonic Rage and BOOM!!!

+2 252+ Atk Calyrex-Ice Tectonic Rage (175 BP) vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 456-537 (114.5 - 134.9%) -- guaranteed OHKO

One can argue that a Life Orb boosted High Horsepower is much better. However, in my opinion it already further chips the Stealth Rock weak Calyrex-Ice. Secondly, it fails to OHKO:

+2 252+ Atk Life Orb Calyrex-Ice High Horsepower vs. 252 HP / 252+ Def Prism Armor Necrozma-Dusk-Mane: 322-380 (80.9 - 95.4%) -- guaranteed 2HKO

That's about this set. In Trick Room, without Dynamax nothing can stop it out of Arceus-Water—however it has seen decent usage stats drop, meaning this set is safe to use. And well, We are gonna make a Grassium set too if it becomes popular!!

Sorry to burst your bubble, but you can't use Z-Moves in Sword and Shield(OR S\V) Galar has Dynamax, not Z-Moves.

Wait hold up, how come no one has posted anything about CalyS in the current Gen 9 AG meta? I might as well post an answer for it.
NOTE: This answer is for only the first wave of HOME, so not the DLC and whatnot, so this answer might get outdated once the DLCs and new Mons come in.
Calyrex-Shadow @ Choice Scarf / Choice Specs
Ability: As One (Spectrier)
Tera Type: Fighting / Normal / Dark
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe

- Astral Barrage
- Tera Blast / Nasty Plot / Coverage (Energy Ball or Pollen Puff) / Baton Pass
- Psyshock
- Trick
The horse is back, and it's meaner than ever. Yveltal (and to an extent Ho-Oh) aren't in the game yet, which means that CalyS can potentially destroy teams. With Scarf, it is the premier revenge killer with a blazing 657 Speed stat along with an extremely high Special Attack to back it up. With Specs, you become a very fast and extremely strong sweeper that can accumulate As One boosts and potentially sweep as long as checks and counters are gone or weakened sufficiently.

With Tera Fighting, you can prevent Sucker Punch, Shadow Sneak (unless it is boosted) from revenge killing you (and you can hit Dark types like Ting-Lu, Tyranitar, Arkoos-Dark, possibly Kingambit, and more along with hitting Normal Arkoos). With Tera Normal or Dark, you can prevent other CalyS's from revenge killing you. With Normal, you can become immune to Ghost moves and not 4X weak to Dark moves, and with Dark, you can resist both of your original 4X weaknesses.

Astral Barrage is Astral Barrage (extremely strong STAB that will most likely OHKO or 2HKO anything that doesn't resist it). Tera Blast can provide coverage if you Tera offensively with Tera Fighting, however, if you are running a defensive Tera that doesn't add much offensively, you should probably use another option listed. Psyshock is STAB that can hit Chansey, Blissey, and targets weak to it. Trick allows you to cripple Pokemon that may wall you or counter you.

Options
If you are running a defensive Tera on CalyS like Normal, Dark, etc. that doesn't provide much or any offensive power with Tera Blast, then you can run NP (setup for even more damage) , a different coverage move (to hit something you might be weak to or if you need more coverage, most likely not), or BP (get out of a bad matchup like Ting-Lu, etc. if you predict correctly or if you Tricked your choice item and got a boost from As One and you want to pass the boost) instead of TBlast.
You could run a different Tera, like Fairy which can hit Darks and Dragons for SE damage, but Fighting allows you to more consistently kill Tyranitar and Kingambit, however it is up to you for which one you want to use. Tera Bug is an interesting option that with Pollen Puff, hits most of the Dark types in the meta super-effectively and you don't have to Tera to hit them, and it allows you to hit Wo-Chien. It also provides a resistance to Earthquake, although out of that, it doesn't provide much offensively, and being weak to Fire kinda sucks. Tera Grass with Energy Ball hits Tyranitar, Ting-Lu, and Waters, but it is ultimately a worse Tera Bug.

Heavy Duty Boots allows it to safely get in and out without taking hazard damage, which is crucial. It allows the use of setup at basically full HP. Glacial Lance is STAB. Taunt is to stop status, but it might be too slow to use it effectively. You could try Seed Bomb to beat the Unaware Quagsires that seem to be popping up frequently in Ubers. High Horsepower beats steels, primarily Dusk Mane Necrozma.

Explanation: Another incredible Pokemon with lots of potential as a sweeper. Amazing Attack, not the best Speed stat in the world. There is two solutions that I know, but this is the more common one to make up for its poor Speed stat: Trick Room, a move that reverses the order in which Pokemon move. Glacial Lance and Zen Headbutt are for STAB, Close Combat for Dark, Rock, and Steel types and for Max Knuckle Attack boosts when in Dynamax. Trick Room is there to make up for this Pokemon's poor Speed stat. Life Orb for extra damage, and Unnerve to make the opposing Pokemon starve to death, unable to eat berries.

I thought that each stat boost equaled 55? so would Agility, Iron Defense, Amnesia, Nasty Plot and Swords Dance boost by 110? Of course, then it would mean Calyrex-Ice would have it's Speed at 165....

Earlier, I used to hate this Pokemon the most, but now, I just love it! This set has get me to Top 10, and it looks like a gimmick but can actually sweep if you're not careful.
Similarly, a Ghostium Z set can be used, but it's only good on a lead Calyrex-S which is unwise due to many Yveltal and Focus Sash gimmicks leading at start.
Nasty Plot, then baton pass into a special attacker, notably Yveltal if opponent is using Arceus-Dark, etc. Baton Pass also helps escaping Pursuit, leaving opponents dumb-founded. Pollen Puff is incredibly useful. Z-Pollen Puff OHKOes non-investment Yveltal, Arceus Dark and Tyranitar at max Sp.Def after a Nasty plot which you get on a predicted switchin. Alternatively, Psyshock instead of Baton Pass does a lot to Chansey sisters, but it lacks more viability than that. Substitute can also help against Sucker Punch, but it's your choice :P.

Calyrex-shadow is one of the best special sweepers in the game thanks to its massive special attack & speed, powerful signature move and great ability. This set utilises all three of these things and makes the most of calyrex's power. Send out calyrex first. Astral barrage is your primary STAB - with 120 power, 100 accuracy and no side effects this will OHKO most things after a special attack boost (although it only has 8 PP so you shouldn't waste it on an opponent with low HP). Psyshock is your secondary STAB and is chosen over psychic because it can hit chansey and blissey. Pollen puff is unexpected and good coverage for dark types. Nasty plot lets you get in a boost against opponents who are unlikely to attack (ninjask, scolipede etc). Ditto can usually counter calyrex but the focus sash will stop it in its tracks. Priority attacks can also end calyrex's sweep early so if you see a Pokemon on the opponents team that is likely to use priority (cinderace, aegislash, marshadow etc) dynamax and use max mindstorm to set up psychic terrain. As one allows calyrex to become a snowball sweeper. The EVs are in special attack and speed as they are calyrex's best stats. I use this set in anything goes but it works in ubers as well.

Gen 8 Doubles Ubers - Imprison + Trick Room Calyrex-S

This is easily my favourite Calyrex-S moveset at the moment. Astral Barrage is incredibly strong Ghost STAB that hits both opponents, and is pretty much the only attacking move Calyrex needs in Doubles Ubers (ok well that's not entirely true, Draining Kiss sees some use on Substitute sets but Sucker Punch Yveltal is super common, and Expanding Force gets used alongside Indeedee-F). Protect allows Calyrex to scout for certain attacks and / or support moves such as Wide Guard while staying safe from all non-Dynamax attacks for a turn. Imprison is where the fun part of this set starts. With Imprison, Calyrex can prevent opposing Pokémon from setting Trick Room up (which is why Trick Room is in the fourth slot) just by staying on the field. Because this Calyrex also knows protect, opposing Pokémon can't use it after Imprison is used, which is amazing considering how good and common Protect is in doubles. Even opposing Calyrex can't use Astral Barrage, potentially forcing them to Dynamax in order to attempt to knock out your Calyrex. And if they're using the exact same set, they're forced to Struggle and can't even Dynamax. Trick Room, while mostly there for Imprison, could still be used to turn the tables against opponents with boosted speed or revert Trick Room if for whatever reason it goes up. Focus Sash ensures that Calyrex can take a hit.

This set should be used with some sort of speed control, most notably Tailwind (Max Airstream works as well) from Pokémon like Ho-oh, Yveltal, or Tornadus, so Calyrex can move before an opposing Calyrex and use Imprison before they can act without risking a speed tie.

Here's a replay against a high ladder Trick Room team because, why not?
Calyrex gets forced to Protect and switch out as Trick Room is set, but later prevents it from going back up and enables a comeback.

Alright, so you're near 1700's in the G9 NDAG Ladder. All is going well until you see the shock of your life, everyone is Spamming Arceus-Normal. Unfortunately for you, +2 LO Psyshock won't OHKO Bulky Variants with only 31.3% after rocks and +2 LO Tera Fairy Draining Kiss can only even hope doing 50%+ ( Tera blast on both this is cool but since it relies on Terastallizing, you're forced to use your Tera on Caly to use it which is often detrimental. ) Now What?

Kiss Arceus, Standard Arceus-Dark, Tyranitar and Chansey Goodbye, all while doing immense damage to Yveltal w/o Draining Kiss!
This Caly can work as a standalone or Tera Sweeper, and it even breaks through Chople berry to booth.
All of its moves are pretty self-explanatory. The 4th Slot is flexible, I prefer Baton Pass though.

Get out there and show Arceus who's the true Killer!

How do you even use Z-Moves in Sword\Shield, anyway? do they code them in or something?
And Yveltal currently isn't in S\V(It's possible that either Necrozma or Zygarde could be, though...)

A doubles support Pokemon. It can setup trick room, heal with pollen puff, and support with helping hand. Psychic is if you need some more damage. If no trick room, it can use ally switch for gimmicks

First, you start with Trick to lock wall Pokémon into using one move. Calm Mind is to raise your Special Attack and Special Defense after you use Trick on a Pokemon that use a status move such as Iron Defense. Giga Drain is STAB and healing. Psychic is STAB.

The nice thing about this is that it can set up it's been own TR. It has great bulk and would likely tank one super effective hit and it has so many weaknesses. How ever, it gets OHKOed by zacian-Crowned so be careful.
+1 252 Atk Zacian-Crowned Behemoth Blade vs. 252 HP / 0 Def Calyrex-Ice: 422-498 (104.4 - 123.2%) -- guaranteed OHKO
So start off with Trick Room, then kill.
Can have Dusk Mane Necrozma on the team to use it's Trick Room if it dies too soon.
