Should I use Excadrill or Runerigus in Shield?

Hello, I am deciding between using Excadrill or Runerigus for my Shield in game playthrough. The rest of my team is Thwackey, Toxel, Linoone, Corvisquire, and Sizzlipede. I just finished the 3rd gym.

A hundred percent go with excadrill. Excadrill has a huge attack stat, along with steel typing, that allow it to dish out huge damage. From personal experience, Runerigus does not dish out that much damage, so I would definitely chose excadrill. On top of that, evolving runerigus is a pain.
