I have been pondering the classification of Spiritomb. I can't find information anywhere else.

Despite this idea being quite common, Spiritomb is neither legendary nor mythical. It is not distinguished on Bulbapedia's page and no concrete references to it being of a special status are made in the official media. The same holds true for several other Pokemon that some believe to be legendary, like Rotom and Zoroark.

Spiritomb is also different from mythical Pokemon in several important ways, such as being able to hatch from eggs and obtainable without events.
A solid case could be made for pseudo-legendary, but it is definitely not mythical.
There are very specific criteria for pseudo-legendary Pokemon that Spiritomb doesn't meet.
In case you didn't know, all pseudo-legendary Pokemon must have exactly 600 base stat total (ignoring mega evolution) and evolve from something that can hatch from eggs. Some people think the definition should also require evolving twice, evolving at or above a certain level, or having slow leveling rate.
Just for reference, here's a list of all of the pseudos; Dragonite, Tyranitar, Metagross, Salamence, Garchomp, Hydreigon, Goodra, Kommo-o, Dragapult, and Baxcalibur.
