PokéBase - Pokémon Q&A

In her last battle of the main story, my Corviknight used Brave Bird and Meowscarada fainted, and the screen went black to play the animation when you win, but I heard Corviknight taking the recoil damage and fainting, and the I LOST.

Why? Her Meowscarada died first and the animation was going to play but then NO.

Did it happen to any of you or is it just a regular S/V glitch?

hahaha gamefreak's incompetence knows no bounds
That's not a real link. That is a local address for your file that only you can access. Can you upload the clip to YouTube or Google Drive?
Sorry i don't know how links and those stuff works
Was Corviknight your last Pokémon? The battle ended in a draw, technically, right?
As far as I'm aware, if you and your in-game opponent lose simultaneously, the game prioritizes your loss, as otherwise you'd be able to run around with a full party of fainted Pokémon. It's likely what happened in this scenario.
So it sounds like the game is programmed to fade to black after nemona loses her last pokemon, but the dialog is determined by a win/lose value returned from the match.
To upload the video, you need to post it somewhere first, like a google Dropbox or YouTube. And then you copy the link to that.
that's a weird glitch. Did you have to rematch her?
Pokémon games haven't made you rematch your rivals since like gen 4. The reason this glitch happened in the first place is because the story tried to continue before the battle was even over. (Unless I'm missing something, he still hasn't provided 100% of the context)
Yes I had to rematch her and took me another 4 attempts to beat her

HERE IS THE LINK

Both Pokémon were our last ones, you can't see Corviknight fainting, but in the very start you can see it was 4hp and took the recoil from Brave Bird.  In competitive battles, when all Pokémon faint, the last one to do so wins, Meowscarada fainted first and Corviknight fainted second, SO IT MAKES NO SENSE
If your last Pokemon faints when fighting an in-game battle, you lose. As far as I know, this has always been the case. The fade to black happened because Nemona's last Pokemon fainted, but you never actually won that battle. This is not a glitch — it's just how the games work.
i thought you meant the nemona battle before this one. Either way it is genuinely wrong for the battle to fade to black like that.

It's true that in a competitive Pokémon battle, which takes place outside the game, you would have won that match.

However, in-game battles function differently. As stated in the comments. Because a draw means you have no Pokémon who can battle, the game treats it as a loss. Otherwise it would cause issues. In modern Pokémon games, exceptions are made for a majority of rival battles, where your Pokémon is healed after battle. This just happens to be one case where it isn't true. Because this isn't really a rival battle, it's the Champion battle.

The fact you lost isn't a glitch. Although you might consider the screen's premature fading to black a glitch.

Here is an example of what it should actually look like when you get a draw in a Pokémon battle. Clearly this battle is programmed to fade to black when Nemona loses her last Pokémon, for cinematic effect, and GameFreak forgot to check for a draw, so it resulted in this awkward ending. You still lost the battle.
