Gen V

Jolteon (M) @ Magnet
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 244 HP / 132 SpA / 4 SpD / 128 Spe
Timid Nature
- Wish
- Volt Switch
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball

Use Wish. Then next turn use Volt Switch. The Pokemon sent out gets healed, which should cover any damage you took when you switched. So really, this is a safe version of switching (plus Volt Switch does damage.) Thunderbolt is for when you want to stay in. Shadow Ball provides type coverage. Magnet is used to increase the power of both Volt Switch and Thunderbolt. Seeing as you have two electric type attacks, this is fine to have as an item. You don't need much for speed EVs, just enough to outrun everything without boosts. A decent amount of Special Attack is given, mainly to put some power behind your Volt Switch. The HP EVs are there so Wish will heal the next Pokemon more.

What if i can't get HP ice... help i got HP psychic
Why you have 244 Hp Evs instead of 252 hp? Is it something to do with Stealth Rock rounding?
With 244 HP EVs, it still has an even number of EVs so no it's not for rounding. I'm pretty sure it's to have more Attack/Speed.
Ok. There's some wacky spreads on this website.

Jolteon

Jolteon @ Life Orb
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Thunderbolt: Nice choice for STAB.
Volt Switch: Scouting, gets STAB.
Shadow Ball: Nice move, eeveelutions don't have a ton of options.
Hidden Power Ice: Takes care of ground types who are immune to Jolteon's STAB, also good against dragons and grass types wich recists Jolteon's STAB as well.

Choiced Jolteon

Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Charge Beam
- Roar
- Echoed Voice / Protect
- Thunder Wave

Well, here's something different! With such a massive base Sp Atk and Speed stat, it's to be taken advantage of! The idea is to use a Choice Specs to lock on Charge Beam or Echoed Voice (both will get more powerful with each successive hit) until something blows up! If you run into trouble, simply switch, which allows you a chance to lock on Roar or Thunder Wave. Locking on Roar will allow you to annoy your opponent like crazy! Especially if you have Stealth Rock, or Spikes up, this will come in handy! Locking on Thunder Wave may seem silly, but if your opponent doesn't know you're Choice, they might switch when their Pokemon becomes paralyzed, which will get them paralyzed! I actually haven't tried this set out myself (in process of transferring from Emerald to Black right now), but it seems fun and I hope you all enjoy it too!

Role: Baton Passer
Jolteon
Jolteon (M) @ Flame Orb
Ability: Quick Feet
EVs: 252 HP / 252 SpA / 4 Spe
Modest Nature
- Wish
- Substitute
- Baton Pass
- Thunderbolt

Flame Orb + Quick Feet means he doesn't need Ev's in his speed to sweep.
Maxed Special Attack makes Thunderbolt amazing, while I have 252 Hp Ev's to make Wish a better move to use. ( Bigger Hp boost ) Substitute is to baton pass away, and set up Flame orb, and wish. While having Thunderbolt as your sweeping option.

Why not charge beam instead of Thunderbolt? Also as of Gen 5 It heals half the health of the person receiving the wish heal so if Jolteons HP is 200 and it wish passes to a Pokemon with 100 Hp you will only pass 50 Health.
That's totally off.
In PO when I use my Chansey ( 700 something Hp ) I use Wish, give it away the pokemon I give it to recieves 350 Hp, no matter what. And Thunderbolt is to straight up sweep, immediatly, not to set up and give away. That slot is mainly for if I plan on sweeping.

Gen 9 NU Calm Mind

Jolteon @ Heavy-Duty Boots
Ability: Volt Absorb
Tera Type: Ice / Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Tera Blast / Shadow Ball
- Volt Switch

With access to a Tera Type and Calm Mind, Jolteon is actually pretty good in NU. Calm Mind boosts Jolteon's Special Attack and Special Defense, allowing Jolteon to break through teams. Thunderbolt is used for a powerful Electric STAB. Tera Blast with Ice as your Tera Type allows you to delete Sandaconda, Rotom-Fan, Pokemon who use Ground or Dragon Tera, and Grass-types such as Cacturne and Lilligant. Ice Tera Blast also gives Jolteon BoltBeam coverage. Shadow Ball can be used instead with Ghost as the Tera Type. Volt Switch, while weird on a Calm Mind set, allows Jolteon to switch out vs a Pokemon it cannot beat, even with Calm Mind boosts. Heavy-Duty Boots is used since 1): using Tera Ice makes you weak to Stealth Rock, so Heav-Duty Boots helps with that, and 2): Jolteon prefers to not get chipped by entry hazards should you have to use Volt Switch a lot.

Setup that worked best for me is this

Jolteon (M) @ Choice Specs
Ability: Quick Feet
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch
- Shadow Ball
- Hidden Power [Ice]

Try it and let me know what you think of it, i'm still pretty noob on competitive battling ☺

The best offensive Jolteon moveset

Jolteon (M) @ Focus Sash
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Volt Switch / Thunder Wave
- Hidden Power
- Shadow Ball

Gen 8 PU
Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Thunderbolt
- Hyper Voice
- Shadow Ball
- Volt Switch

This is for Gen 8 PU. You can switch it in on a predicted electric type move to absorb the hit. Thunderbolt is STAB and is boosted by Choice Specs. Hyper Voice because Jolteon doesn't have a good movepool, and Hidden Power doesn't exist in Gen 8. Shadow Ball is for type coverage. Volt Switch is for pivoting.

Gen 9 NU Substitute + Calm Mind

Jolteon @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
Tera Type: Fairy
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Tera Blast

Substitute + Calm Mind Jolteon has been picking up usage on HO teams in NU. Substitute lets Jolteon scout opposing moves and can let it setup Calm Mind easier against passive Pokemon. While Jolteon has 65/60/95 bulk, you can have Memento support from something like Choice Scarf Mismagius. (Was used in NU SCL) Thundebolt is Jolteon's reliable Electric STAB. Recently, Tera Fairy Jolteon has been seeing use. Tera Fairy lets Jolteon resist Sucker Punch, which is useful to help against Pokemon using Sucker Punch to pick off Jolteon. With Tera Blast Fairy, Jolteon can still hit Goodra super effectively. Leftovers is used to help get some HP back after using Substitute.

Gen 9 NU Sub Calm Mind + Tera Ghost

Jolteon @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
Tera Type: Ghost
EVs: 252 SpA / 4 SpD / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
IVs: 0 Atk
- Substitute
- Calm Mind
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball

A Substitute + Calm Mind set with Tera Ghost Jolteon can use in NU. This set works best on HO teams. Substitute lets Jolteon scout for status and helps it setup Calm Mind. Substitute also takes advantage of the switches Jolteon may force as well as passive Pokemon. Calm Mind boosting Jolteon's Special Attack and Special Defense stats make it a potent wincon. Thunderbolt is Jolteon's Electric STAB since it is consistent. Shadow Ball lets Jolteon hit Palossand super effectively and is useful for neutral coverage since not much Pokemon resist both Electric and Ghost-moves. Leftovers is used to give Jolteon some HP recovery.

Tera Ghost is used for a couple of reasons. The first reason is that Tera Ghost allows Jolteon to turn Chansey, one of its checks, into free setup fodder since Tera Ghost makes Chansey unable to do anything vs it. Another reason is it can stop a Tera Normal Scyther from using a +2 Quick Attack to revenge kill Jolteon.

EVs: 52 HP / 252 SpA / 206 Spe
Modest / Calm Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball

  • Thunderbolt (Powerful STAB move and backed up by Magnet and it's Sp Atk)
  • Shadow Ball (The Best non-STAB move with no side effects and gives a chance to lower Sp Def)

  • Signal Beam (Deals with Dark, Psychic and Grass types, RECOMMENDED) / Magnet Rise (If you want the ground immunity)

I don't know if this is good or not but

Jolteon @ Electric Gem
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 10 HP / 124 Atk / 124 Def / 252 Spe
Naive Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Detect
- Agility
- [filler]

Electric Gem (Use Wisely)

  • Thunderbolt (Great with Electric Gem)
  • Detect (Protect yourself)
  • Agility (Increases your speed)
  • Anything Else that Jolteon can learn that's nessessary

Jolteon is one of my favorite Eeveelutions and electric types! Jolteon is one of the fastest Pokemon, is one of the classics and is another one of those Pokemon so it should have deserve a great fast speical moveset. To bad that Jolteon can't learn elctro ball with all this speed or else I would of made another set.

Role: Fast Sweeper

Jolteon @ Focus Sash
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Wish / Agility
- Baton Pass / Volt Switch

Thunderbolt is the most reliable electric type move to hit most Pokemon more than Thunder plus it gains STAB so yea, you will have to look hard enough to find the perfect Eevee with the correct hidden power other than that it covers its ground type weakness and will kill grass types which are resistant to electric type moves and if you have ice you could kill a flygon or a garchomp or any dragon type (most dragon types have earth quake) then you got a great jolteon, Be paitent with wish cause if you use it on the first turn and jolteon gets hit and is left with 1 HP then you can attack the opponent and heal up, Baton pass is to baton pass wish to another opponent if you have to or if you want volt switch you can get your jolteon out of the battle quickly and it will also do STAB damage and you can pass on wish to one of your good allys or if you go with Agility you can baton pass speed to one of your slow allys so you don't have to have Trick room but can't volt switch agility to your ally's though. and heres a little tip about Jolteon's Volt Absorb ability, if you are faceing a opponent who may and might use thunder bolt or thunder wave or any other electric type move then quickly switch to jolteon and it will gain health and immunity and with a Timid nature you can out speed lots and lots of Pokemon more than usual. I think I'm one of those people who put lots of details in this set....

Or for one with a Modest nature...

Jolteon @ Leftovers
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 Def / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Thunder Wave
- Thunderbolt
- Shadow Ball
- Protect

Quick Feet made me think of this set:

Jolteon @ Life Orb
Ability: Quick Feet
EVs: 252 SpA / 252 Spe or HP
Modest / Timid Nature
- Rest
- Sleep Talk
- Charge Beam
- Hidden Power [Ice]

I would go modest or speed nature, with EVs into Special attack and Speed or Sp. Atk and Health for some extra bulk.

I would go with Life Orb for items to increase damage.

The idea is to use Rest and Quick Feet for a huge buff to speed, then power up with Charge Beam, using HP ice for great neutral coverage. Most Quick Feet users also have Guts and are physically inclined, so this is what I've thought of trying to do to abuse quick feet. It does add some survivability, but any strong physical attack takes Jolteon out.

Here's what I think works best (in Sun/Moon):

Jolteon @ Zap Plate / Wide Lens
Ability: Volt Absorb
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 SpD
Timid Nature
- Thunderbolt / Pin Missile
- Volt Switch / Rain Dance
- Shadow Ball
- Thunder

Why I think this:
Zap Plate gives a boost to your 2 or 3 Electric type attacks, giving them even more power. Wide Lens helps with Thunder.
Thunderbolt is a great Electric type attack, 90 power and 100 accuracy. You can choose this, or you can choose Pin Missile if you want to deal with Grass types. Hidden Power Ice works well here too, except I don't find Hidden Power that strong of a move. No STAB, no item boost. Bad move to use.
Volt Switch is if you want to switch out due to enemy Ground types and still be able to attack. On my Jolteon, I find it does intense damage. Only works in Double Battles or Battle Royals. Or you can choose Rain Dance to allow Thunder to hit all the time (provided no accuracy lowered).
Shadow Ball is so that if you choose Thunderbolt, you won't have four Electric type attacks. I find it necessary though. I highly doubt Pin Missile works here. Low Attack to begin with, plus its nature.
Thunder goes without saying. It does EXTREME Electric-type damage. If you want to, you can replace

In Double Battles, I find that Jolteon goes well with Tapu Koko. Koko's ability, Electric Surge, increases the power of already extremly powerful attacks. As a bonus, Tapu Koko knows Discharge, which can heal your Jolteon with its Volt Absorb.
I find this Jolteon better for PvP.
Hope I helped!

My favorite (And the only one I like) of the Eeveelutions!

Jolteon @ Choice Specs
Ability: Quick Feet
EVs: 4 HP / 252 SpA / 252 Spe
Modest Nature
- Thunderbolt
- Thunder Wave
- Hidden Power [Ice]
- Double Team / Volt Switch

  • Thunderbolt (Obvious STAB, Thunderbolt > Thunder)
  • Thunder Wave (KILL OPPONENTS! YOURE TOO SLOW!)
  • Hidden Power [Ice] (Dragons die, Grounds die, Moveset Variety woo!)
  • Double Team / Volt Switch (Depends on your style. If you want to run away from a threat, Volt Switch. If you're on the Main Series Games and you want to be annoying, Double Team.

Hmm, is Timid or Modest better?
