Meta-PokéBase Q&A

Decided to make a new thread myself for this so I can get the responses via email. Here you can report any minor errors with the main site instead of starting a lot of new questions. Things you can report here include:

  • Spelling/grammar errors.
  • Incorrect data (e.g. Pokemon with the wrong abilities listed, moves with the wrong power/type and so on).
  • Missing pictures (sprites, icons and artwork).

As I fix the errors, the answers will be hidden. Try and keep comments to a minimum to avoid clogging up the page, stick to important things like additions/corrections to the corrections.

Remember, small corrections only! If you're reporting something more substantial than a missing picture or incorrect data, please make a new thread!

Please, post corrections as ANSWERS, not comments. Thanks :)

The affected moves part of the Reckless page has the description from Iron Fist' page.

Moves affected
The attacks classed as punching moves are shown below with their normal and boosted power:

However, these are recoil moves, not Punching moves.

There is nothing on Ivy Cudel's moveset

Day 164 of Ivy Cudgel barely existing, I think this counts as incorrect data as Ivy Cudgel does have Power, Accuracy and PP, and a alternating type between Grass, Water, Rock and Fire.

This has bugged me ever since I joined 5 months ago so if you fix this and let people know what it does that would make my day.

Same with Syrup Bomb, Blood Moon and Matcha Gotcha. What makes it even weirder is that while the recent Indigo Disk moves have their data, the earlier Teal Mask moves don't.
I said that

Arceus' "Moves Learned" missing:
- TM172 Roar
- TM178 Gravity
- TM203 Psych Up
- TM204 Double-Edge
- TM210 Supercell Slam
- TM215 Scorching Sands
- TM217 Future Sight
- TM220 Meteor Beam

*seems to be a wide-spread thing for later TMs to be missing from a lot of mons

  • The effect description for the Cherish Ball, 'rare' is misspelled. (Maybe intentional?)
  • Sinistcha's page doesn't use the Ken Sugimori artwork.
  • Ogerpon's page; their other forms doesn't have the official art.

Thunderclap description doesn't mention that the attack fails if the target doesn't intend to use a damaging move.

If you click on G-Max Vine Lash in Venusaur’s page, it shows an error about the link and then the link it gives you for G-Max Vine Lash actually works

The move data for chilly reception is missing which Pokèmon can learn it.

Nosepass now evolves into Probopass via Thunder Stone from PLA (Pokémon Legends: Arceus) onward.

by
Magneton too?
No, Magneton is on the list. Nosepass is missing.

There are some Pokémon missing in the part of each Evolution Stone page that mentions the Pokémon that evolve with them.

For the Thunder Stone page, the missing Pokémon are Bellibolt, Vikavolt (since gen 8), Magnezone (since gen 8) and Probopass (since gen 9 DLC).

For the Fire Stone page, Scovillain is missing.

The Shed Tail page is missing Sceptile, which learns it via move reminder.

Similiarly, the Alluring Voice page is missing Skeledirge, which learns it via TM.

Hard press has no move power explanation.
(The one that has a power equal to the target's %HP)

I don't know if this is intentional or not but no Gen II or III Pokemon has a listed sprite for FRLG. This is probably intentional and/or mentioned already but I figured I would bring it up.

Cosmoem's page doesn't mention how it evolves in any game past USUM.

On the page for Heahea Beach, (which is the location you receive Totem Pokemon from Samson Oak in USUM), neither Raticate nor Marowak are listed as their Alolan forms. Both are listed as Kantonian forms.

The Gravity page doesn't mention how it increases the accuracy of moves by around 1.67x. It only mentions the "grounding flying stuff" part.
It also doesn't mention that it boosts the power of Grav Apple by 1.5x, and neither does the Grav Apple page mention it.

The SV DLC Pokedex entries are still missing
(not rushing PM or anything, just writing this so people are aware)

The ability Quick Draw doesn't have a description for its effect in its page (https://pokemondb.net/ability/quick-draw)

Seems like a fairly simple fix though, so you can just say something along the lines of "Gives a 30% chance for each move to receive +1 priority."

Just thought it was probably a silly mistake, probably worth pointing it out.

Also, forgot to put this as an answer, oops.

Quick draw description

Another user has pointed dit out before but didn't answer on this thread so I will instead. If you go to the quick draw page, there is nothing under the 'effect' subtitle, unlike other ability or any sort of description

Qwilfish is available in Pokémon scarlet and violet through the DLC, yet the evolution method described is something along the lines of 'use a strong style move 20 times', which is not possible in scarlet and violet as this is of course the evolution method in PLA. In SV, qwilfish will evolve once it learns barb barrage.
