Do you get extra points if you have been on the site longer?

It may be a silly question, but im curious. Do you get double points the longer you are on the site, or are you just active enough that you become more 'popular'?

No. Point gain/loss is standardised.

If older users seem to getting more points than new users, the most probable explanations would be their answers are generally of a higher quality/more in line with site rules than newer users/just answer more.

No, there are no extra points for having an old account. However, as long-term members tend to have more posts, they tend to have the most points.

Gaining the amount of points the likes of Mew and DT have is near impossible today, as voting requirements are stricter than they used to be, and the overall activity level is lower.
