Suggestion: Wall post notification?

Question

This site emails you when a comment, answer, or BA is selected, which is great, but what about the wall, which is the way most of us communicate with each other, should there be a notification email for wall posts, or is this not a good idea, I don't know, I'm still pretty new at this.

I just read the question, but that was more than three years ago, is Pokemaster still working on it, or is this just not going to happen, I mean, I realize he's normally busy with other things, so if it's not, that's okay.

Any idea how to stop the spamming? Maybe lower the amount of posts a player can post on a single person's wall within a certain amount of time, I feel like that's pretty high. Or maybe, not saying you probably haven't tried this, if we know who the spammers are a mod or editor could tell them to stop or do something to make them want to stop, I don't know what types of things mods and editors can do though, so that might not work.
