In your case, I'd guess you probably have an adblocker. But I also want to mention that users with 1000 points or more on a given section are exempt from ads on that section. This doesn't apply to any part of the site outside the forum, though, so the site will still try to display ads on the Pokedex or guide pages, regardless of your points.
