Is it allowed for anyone to host a tournament on db?

Question

I want to host a tournament where the collective forces of FASTEST, RIBBIT, and lobster fight to see who the best is. This is to see who has the best shot at defeating RTG, I wanna know if I can do this.

You can host whatever you want via wall posts. We're not going to restrict our seasonal tournaments to certain players though.

For Pokemon DB tournaments, I think we usually want hosts to be people who have played in at least one tournament, but if you're doing a private tournament you can do whatever you want.

Current Pokemon DB tournaments have rules on how they’re run. You can always host private tournaments.  Just keep stuff like this to your walls or off-site.

For our official tournaments (i.e. the ones that get posted on meta and will be added to the hall of fame), there are guidelines about which rules will be chosen and how the tour should be organised.

If you'd like the tour to be run in that official capacity, then nothing's stopping you from posting it on the tour suggestions thread (linked above) and seeing if it gets picked. But if you just want to do the tour now, you're 100% welcome to organise it separately via wall posts or Discord or similar.
